The key words are"Pending Product Availability". I was the first one on the phone with them this morning and was told they are not manufacturing any hi cap magazines until they find out what Washington is going to do. I have four on "back order". I highly doubt I will ever see them.

There customer service is ridiculous i called to check availabilty of long ten round magazines and they said everyone was out. Then i see people posting stuff saying they bought mags ten minutes after i called and they will have them buy the next week . So what is it are all mags out or just hi caps. This is bs if u ask me. Same thing was happening woth the 25 round fde mags . One guy said he called and they had 2000 left i called not even ten minutes after henposted and ohh now there out.

Just picked up an additional 2 at my LGS. He only had 2 left and now I'm wondering if I shouldn't have bought those also. I currently have 10 25 rounders.

If he is not gouging you on price.. don't be a tard :) BUY THEM!!

+1 on that^, i called every LGS in my area and with in a 50mile radius no one has them around my area. i guess i am SOL and stuck with just one that came with my gun. gonna hit a Gun&knife show here in my area this weekend and HOPE i can get some at a decent price. probably not but worth a try.

i take that back, just called a local place he has 5 left. $65 a piece. ill pass.

I bought 3 S&W factory 10 round (blue) mags today. I also picked up a short 10 round. $19 each. I guess I was lucky.

One of my lgs's still has a full peg on the wall of the 35 rounders from plinker tactical. I picked two up a couple days ago and they obviously restocked them because the peg was full again yesterday. After finally shooting the rifle yesterday, the only issue with the mags I found, was getting the first round into the chamber. Might have to just file the tops if the mags a hair because when charging, it didn't seem to be catching enough of the top of the bullet to push it forward out of the magazine and into the chamber, and would just push the bullet dow. A bit and scratch it up when slightly jamming it. Anyone else have that same issue if you have those mags? Worked great after the first round seated in the chamber properly.

There are two threads on these magazines. There's a reason they aren't selling, despite what PT says.

Has anyone heard if Midway is going to fill their backorders?
I ordered from them earlier this week when they showed out
of stock, backorders OK.
They have an expect date of 2-7-13 but aren't accepting backorders anymore. Wonder if my order will be dropped?
They were so busy they were hard to reach on the phone so I haven't tried to call them again.

I was told by a S&W rep this week, they have stopped production on 25rd magazines until "they find out what's going to happen in Washington." I wouldn't bother calling Midway :(

While I don't doubt you were told this I have a hard time actually believing it. Why would they wait to make more magazines when there are orders that an be filled until such time as the law states they can't? They're in business to make money, and right now, business is GOOD.

Other companies are adding shifts to get their product out, but S&W is stopping all production?

Just went by Tactical Gear Supply (a LEO supply store) here in Forest Park and a few days ago, they had a case of 15-22 magazines sitting on the floor. I bought two the first day they had them, then went back a couple of days later and got three more. Nothing but an empty box there today and he has no idea when or if they will be getting any more.

I would guess that Midway has a scheduled shipment expected 2-7 and they accepted backorders until everything on that shipment was sold. They may not have any incoming confirmed after that.

With the good reputation Midway has, I would assume you will still get your mags if Midway hasn't notified you otherwise.

There are, of course, other vendors that I would not have that faith about.

Last week I ordered 5 10 round mags each from S&W, 44mag.com, and gandttactical.com. So far, only the mags from G&T have shipped.

Unless Biden and Cuomo are on the S&W BOD, I don't get it either.

Thanks for trying to make us panic...

How did you come in contact with this "S&W rep"? Every rep I have talked to or heard feedback from are saying that their manufacturers are making these magazines as fast as they can, and shipping out orders in full force.

You weren't just trying to stoke a fire to increase your gunbroker sales now were you?

It looks like a bunch of people have called and they are getting conflicting answers. Doesn't appear that even S&W knows what's going on with their mags.

I sent an email to S&W regarding my order for mags. Here is their response.

"Hi,
Thank you for your recent order for accessory magazines. Currently accessory magazines are out of stock and on backorder.
Orders will remain open pending product availability.
Thank you and have a nice day.

I have no idea when I'll receive my mags. :(

Bob.
