Agree with you. The real point about this Ban and the whole Liberals agenda is TO DISSARM AMERICAN PEOPLE. They dont care if is a Bushmaster, a Sig, a 10/22 or an M&P pistol, they want to take out/ confiscate all your firearms, today's list include 150, tomorrow's list another 300 and so on. Today's magazines capacity is 10, tomorrow 7 and the day after tomorrow 1. We can't give them the chance to take just one, it's our Constitutional Right. We need to fight.
DIFI admitted to having an up hill battle and so do we. This list has nothing to do with features or function its all about what looks scary regardless of what it shoots for rounds. I just joined the NRA yesterday and when funds are not as tight in a few weeks I will donate some money to them as well.
We have to make it very clear to all of our reps and senate members from our own states that we will not support any type of compromise. Non threatening e-mails but making it very clear that any magazine or gun ban is infringement on the 2A and voting for any of that will result in a loss of your support for them at election time and make it clear that their jobs are at risk. That is one thing they seem to understand well.

Hello Susan I have written to you recently regarding the current gun control/ban debate that has now been introduced into congress. I expect a vote on this bill to be done at some point soon and I just wanted to express my feelings on this.
"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED"
This is how our second Amendment is written, there is no other interpretation for this, it is not a living document. It was written this way for a very specific reason. Any support of ban of any type of gun, any type of magazine is an infringement on this right. NO COMPROMISE should be made, AT ALL! Any vote from any senator from Maine or Representative from Maine that supports any type of ban on any gun or magazine will result in a loss of a vote by me for the next election. There is no other simple way to put this. I have voted for you MANY times over the years and that will end very very quickly and forever if any vote goes towards the infringement of the second amendment of the United States.
During the 94 weapons ban many seats were lost in congress due to officials supporting such a bill. The results this time will be the same but double/triple. This goes for democrats and republicans and independents. There is mass discontent across pro gun forms online for anyone in congress who votes for an attack on the second amendment.
Criminals DO NOT FOLLOW THE LAWS why do you think bills like this will prevent any crime? It makes absolutely no sense at all. No law is going to prevent any crime, criminals do not care about what is legal or not. The bill that was submitted yesterday is nothing but a power and gun grab. It has nothing to do with saving lives because the ones who will suffer from this bill are the law abiding citizens who do not commit crimes with their guns regardless. Feel free to look it up but the FBI stats show that less then 3% of all gun related crimes are committed with a rifle and less then 1% are from an AR-15 type weapon. So why the big rush to ban them?
The term "assault weapon" is made up by the media and politicians. The correct term for an assault weapon is a weapon that is capable of select fire. Meaning semi auto and full auto fire such as machine guns in the military where you hold the trigger and it will continue to fire and also has the selection for semi auto fire. The AR-15's they want to ban are not assault weapons. They are only capable of semi auto fire. They are taking the term assault weapon and applying it to many more guns then what the definition covers.
I just wanted to make my views very clear and where my vote will go during the next election crystal clear.

This is the strange part. The full text of the proposed legislation is not yet publicly available. The only thing I found was that picture of the list of naughty guns.
Now I'm reading here and there that she doesn't even have the Democratic votes to pass.
I sure hate to subscribe to political conspiracy theories but is this a distraction? Why do I suddenly have the feeling that I should seek cover and watch my 6?
It is a political tactic.
Ask for more than you could possibly hope for, then "compromise" for much less.
Then, the anti's get to say they did something, and the pro guys get to say it could have been worse.
They will negotiate down to no AWB, but no mags over ten rounds and no sunset, then after the next inevitable shooting, no detachable mags at all, then no capacities of any kind over 6 rounds, etc., etc.
To keep this from happening, keep writing and calling - so that your silence is not interpreted as acceptance.

While everyone is talking about your 2A rights we will chip away at your 1A.
The names of the banned guns are but a piece of the legislature, then they are coming in the back door with the 'one item' that makes it a military assault type weapon. So really it makes no difference, it's just a big show to be able to specifically identify weapon name. Do you think she could list ten of these items without referring to the list..I don't thinks so.

That happened last March. I dont know why all of sudden it is news now .... I was ranting about that when it happened. This whole administration is a complete nightmare for America. He said he wanted to "fundamentally" change the country. Well 53% percent of the country thought that meant jobs, and money. ....... the rest of us knew better.
Do you have a link or reference to said law?
Also, this is win-win-win politics for Obama. If he and DiFi get their wish-list, score! If they get a "compromise" bill, they get a little closer to their goals. If the senate republicans successfully filibuster or the House votes it down, they get to beat the republicans over the head about how they want children to be murdered in our schools.
These people are truly disgusting.

I just heard something about this recently thats why I thought it was just passed. Either way I'm sure there was another big ticket item to be talked about when they slid this through.
Read this if want to know what is really going on in D.C.:
I had lunch right after New Years with guy who worked for me in the GM’s finance arm back when I was a manger there before I retired. He and I shot at the range all of the time back then. He is now working for some higher ups on the beltway in a major think tank. When the conversation got around to gun control he was reluctant to talk about it. But he finally spilled the beans to me on a second or was it third whiskey because he said it was now common knowledge about what was going on in D.C. Here is what he told me:
“…The issue is not about guns but about control. It started in 2008 when the credit markets almost collapsed and the U.S. system came close to going belly up. This scared the big guys in government because they knew there where 280 million guns (now 300 million) in the country and they had not prepared well for civil control if the SHTF. What scared them the most is that the fire power of the average Joe was now equal to that of all of the authorities but the authorities were far outnumbered by the average Joe. To them this meant government might not survive a full collapse in the future because in the next chaos the average Joe would rule…”
He continued “…When Obama got into office and found out how bad things were he went nuts. The two things Obama did were to build Home Land Security (HLS) into a mass protection unit by sliding pork into bills he would sign. This is how they ended up with 1.6 billion hollow points and a long list of other goodies. Then Obama used terrorists as the reason for the 15 to 20 executive orders he sent out that make the U.S. into a prison camp for all of us in the next financial meltdown. The issue of gun control had to be left to the second term or he would not be reelected…”
Next he said “…Now we are at the third objective of Obama. That is to demobilize the firearms from the top in fire power on down. That is why he is trying to limit magazines or anything that has firepower. Part of this is a national registry so they can figure out how to allocate HLS resources against the districts with the most firepower…”
Then he finished “…You see this is all part of the big plan to keep running up the debt and the spending. Those guys want to save their butts if they spend too much and the credit markets destabilize again. So Obama can still spend a trillion to do his grand plan and if something goes wrong they are covered. In addition gun control fit into Obama’s view of big government control. It’s as simple as that…”
To understand gun control you need to understand the real rules about how our government functions by (which is not the constitution or its amendments). It‘s not that hard to understand. Our government’s first rule is “Do whatever it takes to keep government running (maintain power). Citizens come second (government rules people)…” The second rule is “Governments direction is that of the current ruling party unless rule number one is violated…” The third rule is “Do whatever it takes to continue to get the Citizens votes so rule number one and two stay in force…”
So what my friend told me is government is scared that if another crisis in finance threatens government stability there is too much fire power in civilian’s hands and it must be stopped (so rule number one above is not violated). They don’t care about Sandy Hook it just happened to come along at the right time. If government really cared about children they would not have allowed 50 million abortions in the last 50 years. Also, notice how this “…critically important issue…” never came up in Obama’s first term (he would not have been reelected)…
Lastly the liberal dictatorship of the press will continue to pulverize citizens. They will terrorize every mother in the U.S. in the liberal media over the next 4 years into thinking their child is the next to die from assault weapons, then all hand guns and then all rifles and shot guns and last knives. Nothing will be left untouched. In the next 4 years they expect to win battle after battle until all firearms are gone like in Britain and Australia. They could give a dam about the constitution. If the gun grabbers win this round it will be all guns next after all the great Hillary pledged that we would go along with the UN small arms treaty.
We should make no mistake as to what their intentions are . They wont to disarm the American citizens . Then they can do what ever they wont to to us.
We must help anyone who stands up to these gun grabbers . If $20.00 is all we can afford a week or month we should do what ever we have the means to do to beat this clowns.
Then come election time we must not sit on our duffs and not vote
and we should never forget who stood with us and who was against us.
