I'm a Magpul guy, my Rock River M4 is Magpulled out with Foilage Green ACS stock, Carbine front, MOE + grip, and MBUS sights for when my green dot goes out (hah, as if).

Really old picture, has a nice green dot on it and a Viking Tactics wide padded sling now.

My Remington 870 Tactical also is Magpulled to hell, with the front, stock, sling mounts, and more.

Still haven't found a sling I like.

My 15-22 is a MOE version, and though I love Magpul, I'm seriously considering some Mako Group parts on it. The front grip for my Rock River is a Mako, and I decided to try it out on the 15-22 to see how it felt (I got the one that holds a flashlight and has an integrated switch to turn it on).

I'm finding that I like the Mako stuff pretty well too, but wanted to see if anyone else has used their stocks and grips on the 15-22. I saw a few pictures here of some grips, but no stocks.

Particularly I'm looking at FDE here, but I'm just looking for some opinions of those that have/had them or have photos installed.

Thanks!

A couple of people have used them, but I can't remember who. IIRC MAKO used to have an account here a while a go.

I have 2 Mako aluminum foregrips on my 1522. They are very nice and rugged. They have the o ring in the bottom and are well made. There are no slots for a flashlight or laser control in them either. My son has had his installed since 2010. Mine have been on since 2011. They were in the $40 range as far as cost. I don't know if this is what you were looking for but I tried to help.

For sure helps, thanks guys.

I think I'm going to just do it, gotta find the parts I want first. Guess I'll post them here.

I run a couple of their buttstocks and one pistol grip in foliage green. Not on my M&P15-22 but on several other builds. They are a bit heavy but otherwise I do like them.

Maybe this will help you...

Mako Grip + Mako Magwell Grip.

I've got the Magpul grip on my AR, and I love it.

I also love the Mako on the 15-22. :)

So...I like having one of each. Different feel but I like them both (more than any other grips I've tried, that's for sure).

Note: The magwell grip did need a little dremeling to fit correctly. There are some threads on this board that will show you how/where to do it.

Looks great. Is that grip rubber coated?

I have the mako group grip and a mako group stock. I like them and the stock has an integrated rubber butt pad which gives a little more traction and the integrated cheek riser is pretty spot on. I like the over all look of it.

That'd be the GL-Shock with Cheek Riser. That rubber butt pad also slids up and has storage. The stock has built in buffer (WAY over kill for the 22LR). Cheek Riser stays nice and snug. All around great stock. I have them an all my Modern Sporting Rifles. A bit over kill for the 15-22 but hay,it fits and looks great. MAKO does make quality equipment.

I agree. I have it on the 15-22 for now because buying an ar-15 at these prices is simply profiteering. I will put the stock one back on once my 15-22 has a big brother.

But I have nothing but good things to say about the stock. I think it's comfortable and it looks different from every other stock out there. But that's just my opinion.

I have a Mako Gen 2 forend grip with integrated adjustable bipod on my 5.56 AR. It's pretty decent. However, after their deal with those mags they're importing, taking money up front on nearly 20,000 orders, and taking months to deliver "in-stock" mags that turned out to be poor quality, I'm not planning on purchasing any more of their products.

Aside from that, my only real gripe is that bipod grip seems just a bit too loose when opened up. With all the features they built into it, I'm sure that you can't have a piece all that sturdy. Best price I could find on it was $130, but most everywhere you can get that has them at the MSRP of $170. I wouldn't buy it again for over $90. It's plastic and aluminum, but seems a bit on the heavy side.

I have a much cheaper UTG bipod on my 15-22, and though heavy, is very sturdy. For what the Mako grip/bipod is, though, it's pretty decent - a combo unit sacrifices a bit on each of it's features when it's trying to handle multiple tasks and isn't priced in the stratosphere.

A fool and his money.

Can't blame a company for taking their share of the madness.

It'll suck if you were one affected but honestly. Panic impulse buying leads to people paying way over the real value of junk.

Thanks everyone, if you have pictures of you weapons with these I'd love to see them. I'm going to take a good hard look this afternoon or tomorrow at the parts I'm interested in and post them. I thought they had a rubberised grip, but if they don't I'll probably just go with Magpul again. I really can't stand mismatched colors, after the army I guess I'm a little OCD. LOL

The GL-Shock is a great stock:D. They jumped up in price though.

Those are 2 of them that I've got. The shocks actually work quite well, better than I had anticipated. More so on an AR-10. the cheek riser is handy if you are rolling old school with a high mounted scope on the handle but I've pulled it from both of those that I use.

I saw the price jump too. Glad to have some at yesterday's pricing.

Well I went ahead and jumped today and picked up the stuff I wanted. It was kinda hard to find but there was 1 in stock with the stock and mag well grip in FDE in a set that I wanted. I also got the new rubber grip that came out, says tan, hopefully it matches.
