Queen of the house, jinx. Have another, no photo.
Years ago when I lived in california I took a dog to the vet. Tippi heddrin was there. She said ohh you have such a beautiful dog! I have a wiry humor that got me in trouble. I said naw, shes ugly or something like that. She shot me down good! She said all animals are beautiful. Just some humans are ugly! I knew darn well she meant me!
Dog story: Somewhere I have a copy of this picture of Mrs calvin coolidge and her dog. I belive it was given to my great grandfather from her. He was my moms grandfather and worked training dogs for some rich guy. The guy he worked for gave mrs. coolidge the dog.
They crated the dog and shipped it by train from wisconsin. (probley oshkosh). Somewhere in illinois the dog got out of the crate and escaped off the train. It found its way home and they shipped it again to mrs. coolidge.
This story came from my mother.
How fortunate she was able to find shoes to fit...on all four feet. (Probably not the kind of gal I'd want to date.) I'll bet she's a real scream on the dance floor though.
It is very sad that in those days we did not have the surgical expertise to separate partial con-joined twins (which this young lady exhibits) that we do today. Just think how much it would have meant to her to have a normal life!
I've shown Ziva before but this is one of my favorite pics of her. Rottie/Lab mix, just over 2, rescued Sept. '11, weighs around 74 lbs & thinks she's a lap dog lol.
I was going to post a cute picture of my border collie, but this thread has taken a turn that has caused me to just click it closed and move on . . . . thanks sipowicz
