I am dropping Geico because of their anti-2A behavior (dropping a customer who made gun parts). My cars are with AAA and I will get a quote from them, but I seem to remember them being high for bikes..any suggestions?

Sip..
When I was riding I went from GEICO to Progressive..

They did a good job for me..

My 4 bikes have been covered by Progressive for 15yrs now. It pays to stick with one company. I can't cover 1 bike with anyone else for what I pay for all 4 with Progressive.

I had Progressive for 12 years until I looked into the things their executives were supporting. I'd suggest you do the same. I also save a LOT of $$ by dumping them!

I can't be concerned with the politics of every single person or business I have to do business with or I'd be more bitter and cynical than I already am.

This site accepts ads from anti-gun concerns , but here we are.

I agree..most of the time, like with actors and such, I don't concern myself with their politics...heck, I live in the most liberal anti-gun town there is so every day I'm lining the pockets of people I would rather piss on...but if I'm going to write a decent size check to a faceless company that provides a service many others can provide, I will do a bit of research if I've heard things about them that counter my values....:)

Insurance in most states is a commodity purchase these days. May as well send the larger checks to the least offensive places!

I have had all my vehicles with State Farm for a long time. Their rates have always been at least competitive, sometimes quite good.

They have always been good to me on claims, too, until my last one, seven years ago. I wrecked my own van and had a bit of a tussle getting a fair settlement out of them. They eventually came through, but I had to spend quite a bit of time working up some comparables.

Sip,

Have you tried USAA? They have been great when I've had claims and very competive rates. (However, you must be a Vet)

USAA all the way...been with them for decades. You need to be currently serving in the Military, a Military Veteran, or a Special Agent of the FBI or Secret Service, or in the Foreign Service.

Sir, last I checked with USAA about motorcycle insurance, they tried to require that I wear a helmet even in places that don't have helmet laws. That's overstepping their bounds IMHO, and they tried similar nonsense when we were shopping for homeowners insurance as well. We use them for car insurance and I'd like to just bundle everything with them, but not if they're gonna act like that.

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

I sold Harleys for a few years ...Dairyland was always the cheapest insurance going but they are reserved for high credit score people only. Progressive has always been good on insurance for bikes but no matter what insurance you end up getting be sure to pay close attention to their details. Most insurance companies have limits on what they pay for if this happens or that happens etc. One funny one I remember from my was "If something happens to your motorcycle while riding in a field, it will not be covered" just pay attn to fine print and coverage's. A lot of times its only a few dollars more to go with higher coverage's.
