Need MC insurance

Sir, last I checked with USAA about motorcycle insurance, they tried to require that I wear a helmet even in places that don't have helmet laws. That's overstepping their bounds IMHO, and they tried similar nonsense when we were shopping for homeowners insurance as well. We use them for car insurance and I'd like to just bundle everything with them, but not if they're gonna act like that.

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

There was a bunch of news about Ruger being that way. If you worked for Ruger and rode a motorcycle , you wore a helmet if you wanted health insurance coverage , regardless of state law. I know NH was choice at the time.

Progressive also sponsors lots of motorcycle events.

I have my Motor Cycle a Honda 1800 VTX Trike insured by Progressive. Because it's a trike I had to get a seperate rider for the Trike (custom ) part so my insurance runs me $40 a month. I don't consider that to bad seeing the rider is for an additional 13K worth of custom work in converting it to a trike.

USAA does not insure motorcycles themselves. If you purchase thier coverage, it goes through Progressive (I think). I found that out when I was insurance shopping.
I have been with State Farm since 1968. The coverage on my 1984 Harley FXR kept getting higher and higher. I called my agent and asked why there were no multi vehicle or other discounts. I was told State Farm doesn't offer them. I went with Progressive. I had full coverage for less money than State Farm wanted for full coverage minus collision.
I am now with Dairyland. I insure my 1984 FXT, my 2004 FXD and my 2007 FXD. The first with liability and the other two with full coverage. I just renewed and the cost was $369. Aboout $20 more that I used to pay State Farm for coverage without collision. Dean

It's a bit pricey, but I'm too lazy to go bargain hunting.

I just renewed mine today and the best price I could find was Formost. They were considerably less than Progressive, State Farm, Gieco and Harley.

I was very satisfied with State Farm when I had my Harley. Stating the obvious but it helps to have all your toys and house insured with the same company.
