we're all jolly well shafted

When does a owning a few guns become what?? I don't understand..
How many guns does it take to be an;

An Arsenal?? Where arms are manufactured

A Collection??Ask Ditrina ;)

An Armory?? Where arms are stored

Its like when the news talks gun clips and magazines, again i'm confused.

Don't worry about facts when watching the lamestream media. It'll just "angry up the blood." ;)

A recent article in "Rolling Stone" magazine referred to the NRA as the "Merchants of Death". It's pathetic how easy it is for the anti-freedom media to brainwash the ignorant masses in this country.

Some people read this **** and believe it....

How big was that house??? It must be huge to have an Arsenal inside of it, as an Arsenal is a building or complex where weapons are manufactured.

And y'all thought they did things big in Texas! :D

An article on the Comicast homepage had a description of the offending items.

an arsenal of weapons including guns,
more than a thousand rounds of ammunition,
a bayonet,
numerous knives,
several samuri swords,
a gun safe with shotgun shells,
numerous boxes of bullets,
an NRA guide to pistol shooting,
paper targets in a duffel bag
ear and eye protection,
binoculars,
a military style uniform,
a .323 Enfield Albian bolt-action rifle,
a .22 caliber Savage Mark II rifle,
a BB gun,
a .22cal Volcanic starter pistol,
a handwritten note regarding guns and ammunition and magazines,
paperwork on guns,
an NRA certificate

Yeah , it read like it was written by someone whose first language wasn't English.

It didn't make much sense to me either.

The people on the "other" side of this issue are really good at using scary words like arsenal. From now on anyone that breaks the law and owns more than one gun and a standard box of 50 rounds will be called an extremist with an arsenal. They even make common rifles used for shooting prairie dogs into "weapons of war". Buckle up folks the fight with the low information voters has just begun.

I've noticed on TV whenever someones house is searched after they are arrested. The reporter/talking head will ALWAYS state how many guns were found, no matter whether the arrest had anything to do with a gun or not.

Why don't they tell us how many CD players, recliner chairs, or blenders were found?

I stopped reading the article when I got to the part about the 12-gauge in the glove box of the vehicle. When these media midgets can start getting some basic information correct, then I'll rejoin the conversation. Until then, everything that is published as fact can be filed under Bravo Sierra.

That temporarily lost thing. Friend of mine laid his J frame on top of the magazine rack, in the bathroom. ... He lost it for six months. ... Then, while digging through the rack for a particular magazine -- HEY! There's that 60! :D

Thank goodness it was a stainless Model 60 and not at 36. Methane plays hell with blued steel.

Does the First Amendment , Freedom of the Press , really give the press carte blanc to spin , slant and distort the news so? :(

Or if there were dirty dishes in the sink!

Manipulation of facts by the media is nothing new. Facts can be reported in a way that tend to confirm or reinforce a reporters personal views, or the "slant" of the media entity, or to back up a political position.

Watching the tragedy unfold on the T.V., the initial reports indicated that the shooter used 2 handguns (reported as a Glock and a Sig), and that long guns were found in the trunk of the vehicle. Shortly after that report, there was video shown of officers retrieving a long gun from the trunk of what was reported to be the suspects vehicle in the parking lot. A little while later, the initial reports were changed to reflect that the shooter had used an "assault weapon", and that all the victims had been shot with a .223 rifle. I'm not sure if the initial reports were inaccurate and updated to reflect the truth, or if there was some other motivation at play.

That being said, this nutjob shouldn't have been in the same house with working weapons!

Just finished reading the trash that passes for an article. One thing that stuck out like a sore thumb was, and I quote Governor Mallory
"That somebody could get 154 shots off in less than five minutes, kill 20 children and six adults, is disturbing,".

Disturbing to me that someone would shoot 20 children and 6 adults, yes. Disturbing that someone could fire 154 rounds in five minutes, no.

By my math that comes to 154 rounds fired in approximately 300 seconds, about 1.95 seconds per round. I feel confident that I could surpass that speed while firing any of my MSR's whether using 7, 10, 20 or 30 round mags. I could probably come close using a CZ 527 in 223 using multiple detachable 5 round magazines.
