*****This is a thread ONLY to thank walmart and sharing good experiences. If you feel the need to share your negative experience or are simply a "walmart hater" please find somewhere else to post. Thanks.*****

I just want to thank walmart for keeping their prices in check and putting a 3 box limit in place. Walmart has allowed me to stock up on ammo to a point im happy at almost prepanic prices. If it wasn't for them id have nothing to shoot this summer cause i can't afford the other price gouged ammo at LGS. Even if you haven't scored any from them they deserve a nod for keeping it coming in and being fair. No need to comment just give a thanks if your with me! (Plenty of discussion on walmart already)

WalMart was good to me, and so was my ex-wife's 10% spousal discount card for almost 2 years. All this happened 9 years ago so I collected about 5 cases worth at about $8 a brick. Sorry none is for sale. [No CCI Mini Mags].

Thank you Wally World!

My local WM is stripped clean of all but a couple of rifle calibers. Has been that way for a while.

Walmart gets a bad rap for many things. BUT, i think that they are trying to do the right thing when selling ammo. Keeping the cost the pretty low and keeping purchases limited to 3 boxes per day, gives everyone a chance to restock.

My WalMart had .22, .380. 9mm, .357 mag, .40 and .223 yesterday. Got 3 boxes .22 and the last 3 boxes of .223.

I'll agree. The 2 Walmarts near me have been nothing but honest about the ammo inventory and the handling of selling ammo. I have been able to restock my supply and even made a few new friends becuase of their customer service.

I agree that there are Alot of things one can criticize walmart about. As there is in any large company. This is one area they deserve nothing but praise.

While you are thanking them, don't forget to include thanking them for signing on the Bloomberg's "Responsible Firearms Retailer Partnership"

Wal-Mart Toughens Gun Policies

If the Mayors Against Illegal Guns likes them, why shouldn't we? You can pretend that the "mayors" don't have anything against legal guns even though they have stated otherwise. Federal gun laws are not restrictive enough and companies need Bloomberg's urging to reach above compliance to further hassle and infringe on the privacy rights of legal gunowners. We can go each day and hold our hands out for our three boxes of cheap ammo and then thank them mightily like the "doctors" at the addiction clinic for our daily cup of methadone.

Wal*Mart makes me sick. You can have my three boxes.

I was at our local Walmart this morning at 7 AM -- there five of us in line when sporting goods guy began placing the just arrived shipment of ammo on the counter -- 9 mm, .223, .22lr (Federal, Winchester) and various Tula ammo calibers -- everything was orderly and we talked as the ammo was placed and everyone discussed what they needed or wanted -- an interesting lesson in group dynamics, two local petrochemical plant workers, a dentist, a businessman and me --
we basically figured out what everyone wanted and the first two guys were originally going to buy 3 boxes each of .223 but decided to buy only two boxes (first guy) and 1 box (second guy) of .223 so the other three of us who wanted some .223 could buy some (they had gotten in eight boxes total of Federal .223 100-pack ammo) -- ditto for the .22 LR -- (they got in one bulk pack of 1000 rounds and 3 total Remington 100-count plastic containers) -- one guy did not need .22lr so four of us each got some .22lr -- it was remarkable -- everyone shared stories about trying to find ammo and everyone was of the same mind to share what was available -- I am going to write a letter to the Walmart manager on my office stationery and hand-deliver it, asking him to thank the sporting goods employees for how efficient and fair they have been in handling the ammo situation.

This is a great story, the same sort of thing originally happened at my walmart. Its nice knowing most of us aren't greedy and able to share

politics bore me to death but i was able to make it through most of the reading. I agree with tightening laws on buying guns. I didn't really read much i disagreed with....
