Recommendations for a Starter Progressive Press

Good luck in your endeavor.
Not , by any way my choices,
but I'm happy for you if you are
happy for you.
You may never outgrow them.
Many of a good reloader never have.

Yep, it has been a sea-saw but I think it worked out alright and I still have my RCBS Jr3. :)

Just thanks again to all here for the help. :D

Just my dummy round. I'm waiting on the new parts for the RCBS Jr3 before I continue cause I'm not sure if the new parts will be affect the cases I have already prepped. So to be on the safe side, I am going to run the cases back through the RCBS after I install the new parts (ram etc etc). I guess I'm weird like that.
Then after reloading on it I will look into the H-LNL that will be looking me in the face :)

Look what the postman dropped off for the reloading room. I'm going to use the Lee powder drop for the RCBS press.

Complements of Rule3. :D

What calibre? Since you are changing directions...did you say you had a die set you wanted to unload?

No die set to unload-Still loading .45acp/38spl-.357

I still have those dies I bought for the LCT.

I do have an extra shell plate coming for 38/.357 for the H-LNL.

Who said Red and Blue can't get along :)

Red & Blue are fine. Green & Blue don't get along.

Look what the postman dropped off.

Question, is the shell ejector spring suppose to come with the press or shell plate?

I don't see it anywhere and looked in all the packages.

Thanks,
Jim

The red line at the left is pointing to the case retaining spring. This spring is a little fragile and you should buy half a dozen of them because if you mess up and crimp it or break it then you are SOL until you get a new one. I didn't know what I was doing at first and ruined two of them in a row.

The red line on the right is the milled in boss on the base under the shell plate. This is what pushes the case free from the shell plate and it works like a charm. The press I tried had the old spring bar and while it worked I can really see this as better as being milled in makes it a fail free part.
