This is blatant infringement of my 2nd Amendment Rights.

The Governor of Colorado tried to explain why he signed HB 1224 (the poorly written bill limiting gun magazines) today on 8.50 KOA News Radio (The Mike Rosen Show)
It was sad to listen to.
He explained that to fix the problems with the vague language in the bill, he wrote a letter to the Attorney General. He thinks that letter gave them direction in how to enforce, the unenforceable, unconstitutional frivolous bill that he was going to sign no matter how bad it was.
This really is unbelievable stuff that even Hollywood could not make up.
There is a copy of that letter in the link below.
This bill will be in the courts probably the day it goes into effect.

Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper Signs Gun Control Bills | Michael BrownMichael Brown

All this going on while yesterday the president is telling his captive audience of Denver police cadets that he can't understand why so many people feel they have to buy guns to protect themselves from the government. I'm paraphrasing, but he stated we are the government, you all, the elected leaders. Like that is shocking to him. The campaign to rid America of that darn 2nd Amendment is underway. The 2nd Amendment is the only thing standing in the way of pure unopposed tyranny, and the President, his party, and their follower's want it gone.

Well that's a pretty interesting concept. I wonder just what makes the governor think he is competent to require enforcing anything other than exactly what was written and passed by the legislature, then signed into law by him? I was not aware a Colorado governor could simply make up law as he goes along, modifying the product of the legislative process as he thinks is best. Maybe it will end up costing him a bundle? Unfortunately, the taxpayers will pick up the tab.

Unbelievable.. in other words.. we're going to consciously sign a legislative mess and the rest of you can figure out how to deal with it.. Any level of legal sanity would prescribe that it... and he... be thrown out. Thanks to Mike Brown for the write up.

M29...the answer to your question about assuming the power to change or impose law without jumping through all the hoops comes directly from the president. The governor of CO is emulating what he sees going on in DC every day.

Our Kolofornia governor was just an Obama/Bloomberg puppet following orders. The gov has high asperations to go to Washington and this was a political milestone to achieve a higher agenda.

There are many recall efforts underway and legal teams ready to test the legality of these laws once they become active.

As for my company and my family, we're outta here. The socialist implants have destroyed a once great state. They destroyed where they were before and made it unbearable so, they come here (and other states) and make them into exactly what they hated before.

I was born here and spent over a half century here but, the damage has been done and is getting worse.

Please, oh please tell me where I can get that .gif!!

In addition to being overbraod, the law is unconstitutionally vague. This is shown simply by virtue of the fact that upon signing it, Gov. Obamalooper instructed the Colorado Department of Safety to develop and distribute "to law enforcement agencies in the State of Colorado, technical guidance on how the law should be interpreted and enforced."

To me, this is an admission that it is not clear and that a citizen cannot be expected to discern what the law prohibits and allows. Obviously, even the police are not expected to understand what the law prohibits and allows and need to have it "interpreted" so they can enforce it. It is utterly un-American to expect that the state police will decide how a law is to be interpreted and then instruct other law enforcement agencies on what the law means. If the legislators cannot write a clear law, then the governor should not sign it, and if he does, the courts should strike it down.
Then we need to be heard in the next election and we need to be clear. No more idiots running our government.
