Hey Everyone 0/

Went to the gun store yesterday with the intention of buying a 1911sc to match, my pro series sub compact.

Well being the impulsive nut that I am, I walked out with a Kahr PM9 instead. Something about this little gun really called out to me.

I got it to the range today and all I can say is wow! The thing shot flawlessly and very accurately for 50 rounds of American Eagle, 50 rounds of Independence and then 50 rounds of various self defense rounds.

I settled on Hornady critical defense, which is no surprise really because its my choice for my .45acp carry gun as well.

Here's a couple of pics

And this to give a little bit better indication of size. It has the extended 7 round mag in it.

I would highly recommend this little gem as a carry gun to anyone, especially to the .380 crowd. It just screams quality when you handle it.

I'm always amazed at the types and sizes of firearms these days.
Glad you got it, and would be interested in your impressions
when you take it to the range.
You can always get the 45 later.

Good little gun. There will be some nay sayers here but I've owned several and never had a problem. The manual does say to shoot 300 or so rounds to break it in. I never found that to be true because mine worked great each and every time right out of the box. Makes a nice pocket gun in warm weather.

I gave it a good cleaning when I got it home and then took it down the range yesterday. It shot flawlessly and with surprisingly little recoil, very comparable with my .380

Really nice firing pistol and very comfortable with the extended 7 round mag in it.

I put 200 rounds through it and I did not get even the slightest hint of a problem. The only thing I could possibly complain about was the magazines were a little difficult to load, maybe I just have weak hands:p

Your exactly right about a great carry gun for the warm weather and it's the reason I snapped this one up. If I am wearing shorts I can throw it in front or back pocket and I am good to go.

The gun is a little pricey retailing for $850 or so, but it does come with great night sights as well as an external safety and a loaded chamber indicator. Completely worth it IMHO.

I should be getting my Crimson Trace Laser Guard for it in the mail today!

I have looked at the Kahr PM9 myself and considered buying one about 6 months ago. I didn't purchase it at the time and of course prices have went a little crazy now. Thanks for the report on how it shoots because I thought it would make a good carry gun also. Good pictures.

A PM-9 with night sights is my most used carry weaon. I have had a number of other small autos. I shoot Federal +P+ 124 grains in that little sucker and can hit things with it better than any other. It is a quality piece.

If you like it and it shoots for you, great! I understand that the folks who have them really like them. Not my cuppa tea, though, and would have gone with the 1911, or another 442 and a bunch of ammunition.

I do carry the S&W 1911 pro series sub compact in the first picture, in a carjacker crossdraw holster. I just realized with Summer around the corner I would like something I can just throw into a pants pocket if i am wearing shorts.

I have a PM9 that I bought over five years ago after renting one for a trial run at my local range. I carry it nearly every day because it conceals so easily. Just left a job that prohibited firearms but sent me into Detroit a couple of times a week ( DEEP into Detroit! ). No one had a clue in the last five years that I was armed every day because of the concealability of the Kahr. It ran flawlessly with any ammo and is, indeed, a well made firearm. I just looked up the invoice; I paid $687, tax included, for it in January 2008.

Nice one Sen!

My crimson trace laserguard just arrived today for it, but it turned out to be faulty. They are sending me a replacement. Kind of disappointed.

Excellent choice! I have had a PM9 for a little while now and really love it! Extremely accurate for such a small little gun and it is so easy to carry.

May I suggest you get yourself an UpLULA? The most awesomest speed loader ever!! ;)

You know i seen Hickock45 using one in one of his videos the other day and had no idea what the hell it was! So thank you for the suggestion.

It's a pretty ingenious system.
