I do not know the law or the individual involved situation

It is here but I can not get the video to play so I do not know.
I just would have to see the actual News report myself and not base a decision on what one person posts on the internet.
Again this is a different segment and not the News report that the alleged statement was made.

I'm not going to get into a pissing contest with some of our lesser informed members, but let's just say my wife's nephew, who was originally here on a student Visa, which expired after he graduated from Tufts, and over extended his stay here in the states by 3 years, with no green card or SS#, was able to enlist in the Army, get his SS#, and subsequently, after 3 years of service, was able to become a Ranger, with a specialty as a Special Forces Medic; I administered the oath of enlistment, seeing as I was a USN Commander, and he is on the fast track for citizenship, whereupon he intends to go to medical school via the Army. It helps that I/we were his sponsors, so it is what it is, inspite of what you may never have seen when you were in.

Overextending one's stay (which was authorized via an immigration process to begin with) does not relegate said person to the realm of a border jumper. What I posted still applies, because your wife's nephew had already been in the system. Any instances that you can back up, regarding a completely undocumented immigrant joining up in this day and age? If you can, great, you win, and I'll give you your cookie. Lesser informed? No. Pissing contest? Indeed. :rolleyes:

All three major newscasts are on here at 5:30.

Keep in mind that I heard the disparaging remark on the 5:30 news broadcast, not on the full Rock Center interview.

And he said that the main reason for allowing more Hispanic citizenship other than staffing the Marines was to get a wider tax base; to collect more taxes.

I see that one of my usual detractors here doesn't think that I'm credible. So did anyone else hear this? Rule 3 is correct that it is best to get more than one witness.

We can't let something like this go unpunished....I say we Recon NBC, penetrate their perimeter and head straight for his Tanning Bed. We'll covertly rewire the machine, turn the power up so it's putting out a couple zillion ultra-violet rays, and cook his *** as he lays there. He won't be on the air for a while, and it won't be too long before the Melanoma kicks in. Sound like a plan?

I just watched Rock Center with the interview with Mrs Jobs and immigration and about a young undocumented young man who wanted to be a Marine. He went through school and some training but could not become a Marine as he had no SS number.

Nothing at all derogatory or disparaging about the Marines or Latinos was said, Mr Williams actually said he knew several Marines.

Your spelling is not the issue., Your reading comprehension is. Go right back to my initial post. Where did I say I heard him? If you look in the wrong place, you may not find what you seek.

I gather that what he said in the newscast was not part of the full interview presented later on a different program. That was probably carefully edited in advance and didn't contain all that was said between them.

I never said I saw the Newscast and that I would have to see it and asked if anyone else saw it.
I stated I watched Rock Center, apparently you missed that reading comprehension.

You should have watched the interview with Gabby Reece and got all excited.:rolleyes:
 
My father was a 20 year Marine and damn proud of it.
I suspect most Marines would hold this twit in the same regards
they hold people like the Kardashians, L. Lohans, P. Jennings,
Jane Fondas etc... of the world. As nothing more than a fly
on their asses that ain't worth swatting. Don't sweat it,
"I'm sure the USMC ain't"......

(I was USAF; my son was Army. The nephew's dad is not a vet.)

OK, here is the scoop and nothing but the scoop. Go here to the website and you can pull up the NBS Nightly NEWS where Brian Williams is speaking with Mrs Jobs (this is not Rock Center)

The issue is immigration reform, They are showing undocumented immigrants in the background. Mrs Jobs is pushing for some kind of reform. In the conversation. Mr Williams asks her "does she care how they come to it (reform) Do you care if SOMEONE says if it prevents someone from going into the Marine Corp or it increase the tax base (by making them citizens)"
Mrs Jobs says no I just want to do something.(or similar)

You need to hear it in context.

At no time did Mr Williams himself say anything derogatory to Latinos or the Marines. This is essentially the same thing that was on Rock Center which you can also watch . Make your own decision based on the facts unless of course you feel it was all edited.:rolleyes:

Watch it and listen to it yourself go to the left side and click, you may have to click the video before for it to play correctly.
