Some of us have to listen to the little lady on the subject........ and most men let them say what goes down.
I did not have any say in the matter but we have two small dogs and only one likes to get up on the bed and stays at our feet.

Tonight is her last time on the bed due to kidney failure and she will see the vet at 8:30am in the morning along with her favorite toy to keep her company.

I have a 14 lb mutt that sleeps on my bed, which I don't mind, but my ex-dog (who lives with my ex-wife)is a 70lb rott-lab mix and that bitch would growl if I tried to move her! She and the ex are a match made in heaven ;-)

Like you, I don't really care one way or the other but our Irish Wolfhound is strongly in favor of it :)

You, the wife, & an Irish Wolfhound?! You must have a extra king size bed!:D:cool:

I hope I'm interpreting this incorrectly, but if I'm not, sorry for your loss.

People with pets are nicer people & live longer. They also double as an alarm system & don't rag on you when you stumble in late at night. I don't mind a little hair in my pie. If they like you when you stumble in you can stare them in the eyes & break wind & if they wag their tails --everything is ok.--Go to bed & worry about what happened tomorrow. Then call where you think you were that night & apologize & see if it ok to come back. Everything will be ok because they did the same thing & don't remember either.

Cats are ok with me as long as all 3 are not on at the same time :D.

It would be difficult to get either of my two labs or my golden on the bed :)

We have 2 dogs, a golden retriever and a stizu. The stizu sleeps on the bed right in the middle or should I say right across the middle with her tongue out and her tail out, because it's about how much space she gets. The golden come on the bed in the morning to let me know it's time to think about getting up after she gets her morning pets and her face rubbed. The cat visits from time to time during the night.

Our two cats sleep on the bed most nights. Actually, they sleep on my wife. I guess she radiates more heat than I do. One of them tries occasionally to sleep between our heads, but I draw the line at turning over to have my face in a cat's butt.

When my wife is out of town, they usually sleep somewhere else. I guess they like her better than me. That's OK. I like her better than them, too.

We never did when we had our wolf dog, he was too big. He did sleep at the foot of the bed though. For my fellow doxie owners here, you already know the answer. She's a tweenie and doesn't take up that much room. The Chihuahua sleeps there too, and snores like a pig. Funny, neither cat wants to spend much time there now.

My girl friend makes the dog sleep in the bed. He has allergies and would keep us up with the itching unless you laid down with him. Now he has my girl friend trained. He itches she makes room in the bed pulls him up in between us and I get to share my pillow. When its really cold hes under the blankets, otherwise we have a blanket on top just for him as a hair catcher.
