I'm afraid you guys have several errors in your understanding of this board.
I'll address those misconceptions individually:
I am about defending the second amendment and I am loyal to that cause. It is a political issue and a serious issue to me. WE either supprot the second amendment and fight for it or we will not have a second amendment forum to discuss what we used to have.
We support the 2nd Amendment.
That is why this 2A forum is here.
It definitely IS a political issue- that goes without saying.
However, as people will, they often think that they can simply mention the 2A in a post, and then progress into ranting about the economic policies of Obama, or Obamacare, or gay rights/same sex marriage, or abortion, or whatever. While I have definite opinions and positions on all those issues, it is not within the scope of the mission of this board to discuss them.
This board is simply and narrowly focused on:
1. Discussion of all things S&W
2. Protection of the 2A and other legal issues pertaining to guns such as defense and the right to carry.
3. Promotion of and recruiting for the NRA.
That's it. Nothing more.
So, we do have guidelines for keeping discussion on those topics because people slip easily into many other political/social issues and it is simply not worth the wear and tear on the staff to allow that discussion.

I will not post here again and no offence to Lee.....He does not make the policy...he enforces it. S&W either supports the Second Amendment or the Administration, cant have it both ways.

Remember that statement about this board is privately owned property and I will try to explain Freedom of Speech to you.
This board, though privately owned, is made available for free public use
within our Rules, Terms of Service (TOS)
, and guidelines. Everyone who registers has agreed to be bound by all three of those.
It is kind of like a restaurant open to the public- you can enter and use their premises to eat, but they don't have to allow you to stand on a table and give a speech.
Or, compare it to your front porch- do you
have to listen to anyone and everyone who rings your doorbell because
they have freedom of speech?
We don't deny you your freedom of speech, but we do control what is posted on our board. I have never kept anyone from speaking on a street corner or renting a billboard.

I too have received email notices of demerits for posting against the policies or wrong arena. I feel your frustration.
With a do not reply to this message attached, it seems rather silly that they sent it in the first place.
You selected to receive email notifications of Private Messages (PM) being sent to you. When you are given a Reminder or Infraction, a PM is sent that explains it. You are receiving the emails to notify you that you have received a PM. Those auto-generated emails say "Do not reply" because they are auto generated and not from the Mod who gave you the ding. But you can talk to the machine if you want to.
If you need to have any valid communication about a ding, reply to the PM you received.

I posted a question about the price of a brick of .22's in the forum talking about .22's, the forum has over 5,000 posts and is going for a record. I got an email telling me I violated the posting rules and was given a 1 point violation of some sort that would stay on my record!
If you read the first post in that thread, we made it pretty clear I thought.

You registered again today while being suspended. You originally registered in Dec, and have received 9 Reminders and Infractions in less than 5 months, 4 of them for political posts.
Multiple ID's are not allowed under our TOS, so you just blew any chance of coming back after the 3 day suspension.
