M&P 45c Failure To Feed

Rastoff, that's EXACTLY what mine is doing. I think I read an older post of yours and S&W sent you a new extractor? Was that the only fix?

Yes, they sent me another extractor at my request. I also polished the chamber, but I'm not convinced that did anything.

Now I'm really curious to hear what they do to yours.

Did yours just eventually work itself out? Another potential cause was the extractor spring being too tight. (I've been researching this to death.) ha

Well...finally got her back. Diagnosis: feed ramp & extractor. They polished the feed ramp and replaced the extractor. Going to try and get her in the range at some point this weekend and see how she feeds.

My question is this: if S&W knows this is a reoccurring theme with the 45's, why aren't the doing a better job of QA'ing them? Crazy!

Who says they're not? What is the ratio of guns produced to guns needing this repair?

Unfortunately, we are just a couple of guys on the internet talking about our issues. For every one of us, there are at least a thousand who are reporting nothing because they don't have this issue.

I'm glad you got yours back by the way.

I hear ya! However, I've heard of a few others talking about this very same issue with the 45. :D Thanks! I'm glad to have it back! I've been jonsing for it! ha
