All I think you need to know is you bought a great gun! Welcome to the 15t club!

If this is your 1st AR- read the stickies. They will give great advice on cleaning and maintaining your 15t. If you plan on shooting a lot- check out the forum info on reloading. not only will you save $$ but you can tune your ammo to your 15t. Not as hard as you might think- and very satisfying.

You will probably end up spending $$ to change out factory hardware. Look at Magpul offerings. They are drop in replacement and are a big ergonomic improvement on the stock 15t.

Bought mine back in dec runs flawlessly its agreat gun I got a aimpoint micro for mine great gun enjoy

Got a 15T, made some simple upgrades to improve form, not necessarily function. Rail ladders are a good option to protect your hands and rails.

Thanks guys I have one other AR-15 the bushmaster carbon that I installed a troy battle guard on and magpul stock not sure which direction this will go yet i really like the handguard on it.

Congrats on the 15T and welcome to the club. Now the real fun begins as you decide on which direction you want to go with the rifle.

Got mine a few weeks ago and picked up a Burris Tac30 this weekend and had it sighted in last night at Bass Pro here in Springfield. The main scope is sighted in at 100 yards and the red dot on top is sighted in at 25 yards. My last two shots were dead center on the target almost right on top of one another.
Great gun! Have fun with it!:D

Great gun. One suggestion, trow away the chamber flag that came with the gun. On my second outing it slipped into the action and it took about 10 minutes for an experienced operator to remove it. I put it right in the trash. The thick flag got wedged in there.

Once you start modifying the rifle, it's easy to keep adding on until you'll end up with a transformed weapon (rail cover, pistol grip, butt stock, foregrip, flashlight, optics)
Enjoy your 15T

Finally got to shoot the 15T and it was all I expected took a few shots to get zeroed in but I like the results so far (Much better than my bushmaster carbon)

Excuse the OT, but when did S&W stop shipping the M&P15 in the injection molded cases?

I believe it's been a while; certainly at least 6 months, but I think it's been over a year.

Honestly, it's the only "disappointment" that I've had with both of my M&P rifles that I've picked up in the past year (first a 15-22, then a 15 VTAC).

Good thing is that decent soft-side cases can be had relatively inexpensively. Still annoying that you need to pick one up before going to the range - cant imagine taking a cardboard box to the range unless I'm shooting *at* it.. :)

I've had my 15-T for over a year, and it too came with the cardboard box. I agree with most everyone, Magpul has gotten a bunch of business from me on various parts. Also swapped my buffer for a Spikes T2 buffer, and a BMC medium charging handle. I also love the Inforce Weapon mount light I put on it. Enjoy your new rifle!
