Many, many years ago I went to college in Chicago (not a bad place at that time). There were a lot of working-class neighborhood bars back then, and in many of them--for twenty-five cents--you could get a hardboiled egg to go along with your beer. The egg was commonly eaten with heavily-salted yellow mustard.

This is still my favorite accompaniment to a beer. What's yours (assuming you drink the stuff)?

I don't drink alcohol at all. But I do like Mexican food. Goes perfectly with soda or water :)

MMMMMMMM!

Grilled ham and pepper jack cheese, enchiladas, chili, a good steak,
RIBS, braunschweiger and cheese sandwich, Volpi salami and cheese sandwich.
I know I'm missing something.
Thanks
Mike

A piping hot fully loaded pizza with plenty of anchovies, pickled eggs and hot sausages and cheese and crackers.

Chicken wings with blue cheese dips goes very well with beer.

Very popular up in this neck of the woods! I like my wings prepared mild. But in some places mild is number 1 on a scale with Atomic or Plasma as a number 10. They do sell more of the hotter variety but I will stick to mild! :D

Don't drink much at all (so I can tell my kids they shouldn't drink)

But when I do.... its Pizza

Beer goes well with a lotta things; however, when I intend to have more than one or two, I prefer to snack on something instead of have a real meal. That "too full" feeling kinda takes the shine off the beer buzz.

That said, I do enjoy a couple of cold drafts with fresh fried or grilled seafood: shrimp, oysters, fish. And before I knew oysters on the half-shell were actually alive when you eat them, I used to enjoy slurping them down with while enjoying a cold one. Now, though, I prefer my oysters cooked at least to the point where their mollusky little selves have gone on to Oyster Heaven before I chow down.:)

Spicy Hungarian or German bratwurst with real mustard and sour crout accompanied by a summer ale (its hot outside now) in a glass boot
