Spyderco Knives

I do

Hi opaul,
I do. I have a drawer full of easy open, one hand folders. There are quite a few in there that cost more and some that cost less. A pretty good selection. When we float and camp and a knife becomes more than a letter opener I always snatch up the Delica with the combo blade.
It is light, tough, easy to open and keep sharp. It is an all around great tool.
Not my best looking knife but my "Go to" knife when I really need one.
Thanks
Mike

This tenacious is always in my right pocket - this pic is when it was new about 4 years ago - it has some wear now, but it's still rock solid - best $25 I ever spent on a knife.

I love them and may have to buy one soon. I've given two Enduras to my sister, who is disabled and carries one on her key ring for personal defense--she fears guns. As good as their blades are, she can have one completely dulled in about three days, and likes them that way. Thinks that makes her safer from cutting herself. She could give an assailant a pretty nasty bruise with one.

I don't care for combo blades except on the Spyderco Rescue model. I'd love to have a new Endura, if I can scrape up the price.

I keep the all sst police version in my range bag. I don't remember how much it cost but that was the most I had ever paid for a pocket knife. that was quite a few years ago

I misplaced my Tenacious G and miss it.

I fly a lot and always have to remove knives and such and then put them someplace I won't forget them.

I've lost 5 knives in the last 2 years... :(

Yes!!! Endura and Ladybug. Use Ladybugs, serrated, the most because they are small, light, legal, short, sharp! Current favorite is the Spyderco Ladybug 3 Hawkbill Salt with SpyderEdge H1 blade. Seki/Japan :)

I've heard a lot of good things about Spyderco but can't bring myself to buy one because they're ugly.
I have about 30 nice folders but the one I use the most is a Buck. It's an auto opener with a liner lock. I bought it for my wife but she can't push the lock. Also she is afraid of it.
I'm a little afraid of it too because it's pink! It will be kind of a relief if I lose it.

I don't any any of them but I have admired them for awhile. Wasn't Hannibal Lecter a big fan of Spyderco? I seem to remember that from one of the books!:cool::D

If you handle an Endura or Delica for a few minutes it'll start to look a lot less ugly. Light, strong, sharp and ergonomically well thought out.

I'd like to have another Buck 110, a beautiful knife in my opinion; but I already carry a good deal of stuff and the weight would be more of an addition than I'd want at my advanced age.

My EDC pocket knife is a Delica Stainless. Not the lightest but it's what the local hardware store had in stock when I snapped the blade off on the previous cheap no name knife I carried for about 14 years. One of these days when I think about it I may check to see if they have the G10 Delica in stock because as I've found out their stock does turn over steadily.

An ugly knife is akin to an unattractive women, the love overwhelms all things.

At first, I thought it was an ugly knife also - like a Glock  but when you hold it in your hand it feels like a natural extension - just let one nestle in your palm :D:D you'll become a believer.

I have Benchmades too - but I actually use the Spydercos!

Yes. He had some sort with a downcurved blade in, "Hannibal", if memory serves. I think he planned to use it on the femoral artery of victims. I want more of a stabbing capability. BTW, there's no "h" in Lecter. I've read all of the books by Thomas Harris, and saw two movies based on, "Red Dragon" and I saw, "The Silence of the Lambs", which was surprisingly well done for a film made from a book, very close to the book. While not about Lecter, his, "Black Sunday" also became a very superior movie.

You can see a Spyderco in a film made in Australia (Tasmania) about hunting supposeedly the last Tasmanian "tiger", the thylacine. Willem Defoe (sp?) played the hero and used a Spyderco. His rifle was some prop room job that took down for concealment. Did anyone recognize the model of Spyderco? I think the movie is, "The Hunter." Well worth seeking out, but it has a sad ending.

My only Spyderco is a Delica, I think. Can't make out the name in the molded handle. The four-inch blade is ATS-55 steel and it has a partially serrated edge. For years, it rode in my glove compartment. It's indoors now, and I like it better all the time. It won't replace my Gerber A-F folders or my Puma and Benchmade knives, but it is VERY sharp and a highly functional knife. It is also very light for its size.

It puts the lotion on.:rolleyes::eek:

I'm lined up for the car-tech knife if they ever get it produced. I have the smith & wesson and ruger car-tech commemoratives nobody collects :D
