I do not consider myself to be a knife collector by any stretch, but I have accumulated 5 or 6 dozen along the way. I have inherited about 1/3 of them when my Dad passed and either purchased or was gifted the lion's share of them. I do not have them in any case and in fact have them all over the place such as in drawers, knight stand, vehicles, kitchen drawers, emergency kits, gun range bag, - you name it and I probably have a knife in it.
I always carry two as EDC. One is a Spyderco Delica, K390 and the other is the smallest "Classic" (keychain model) SAK they make. I basically carry that one for the scissors and nail file with the screwdriver tip. It makes a great sight adjustment tool for pretty much any hand gun I shoot.
I keep saying I am going to organize my knives but never do. As much as they are scattered all over, I always have one handy no matter where I am, where I go or whatever I am doing. They are all razor sharp - I would never have a dull knife! I fully intend on taking the 6 steak knife set I received free from Capitol Grill and removing the serrations so I can properly sharpen the knife. I do not care for serrations, except on a bread knife.
I have to start gifting some of them to my kids!
