Now that hundreds of thousands across Europe have either lost their shirts and shorts, or won a bucket full of sixpence correctly identifying the sex of the third in line to the English throne, we now are faced with the naming of this newly minted instant Royal billionaire, and heir apparent #3. This 8 lb 6 oz behemouth has the betting parlors all abuzz, and I do believe it's time for a poll.

I hear the weight (8 pounds, six oz) was at the high end of the betting scale. As a USA born man I am glad the USA does not have a king for life, but In Great Britain the monarchy is well thought of. The Queen has a 90% approval rating. That would be practically unheard of here. To me it makes no difference what the name and i am not a betting man, so that is of little interest.

I am amazed that the amount of money this royal birth is responsible for. $96,000,000 in drinks alone. As the baby grows, each product the baby uses will get a great boost in sales as do the products his mother uses.

This little fellow is third in line for the monarchy. He won't be king for a while.

My money's still on Hashtag. Heck, it's at 500 to 1, last I looked, and I'm gonna be rich if they pick it.

The notion that any individual, because of his "lineage",is somehow better than any other individual, is an absurdity that should have been crushed centuries ago. I'm afraid the Bolsheviks had the right idea.

I was hoping for a girl. With Kate adding to the royal bloodline maybe (long shot) they could end up with an attractive queen. Actually the new kids will end up with a bloodline from both Kate and Diana. Not too shabby.

At least they are better names then kids born in this country are given, gotta give the brits that much credit.

"Lineage" is one of several reasons why one individual may be better or worse than another. Individual effort is well known to be a major factor. No sense in making a list, though; we probably can't all agree even on the ranking of the individuals.

The Bolsheviks had very few, if any, right ideas.

Who cares? I am astonished and almost sickened at the American fascination with someone who has accomplished nothing but get born to some people who also did nothing but get born to privileged parents. We fought a revolution to get out from under the thumb of a king, we still have folks in America who think they are royalty and entitled to retain public office within their family, and yet get all gushy over this child. I felt the same way when so many in our country swooned over the late Princess Diana.
