Stop and think, we went through a couple of decades of "Royality". The kennedys. No matter what new dirty scandel they hung on and were granted power for many years. So are we that different than the britts? We have another thread going on about general patton. Read up on his background. He was born very privilaged. So was general Mc arther. Evidently there are many americans that want a royal family. We also had two president bushs. Now what are the odds that a son is the most qualified of 350 million people that he inherited his fathers nobel genes to be selected over the 350 million?
I will give you this. When a kid is tutored from the cradel up by experts in ever field to be a "gentilman" and doesnt have to be out there haying and pulling weeds but is taught polo, sailing, what fork to use etc, I guess they can learn more than us with two working parents.

It won't be John. No British Royalty has been named John since the early 13th Century. He was and still is universally considered a horrible King. Think Robin Hood, Sheriff of Nottingham, and Magna Carta.

Actually, I hope it is Richard. After all, this past September they found Richard the Third's body--okay, skeleton--after 500 years of burial in an unmarked grave, and ol' Richard wasn't nearly as much of a bad guy as Shakespeare made him out to be. So it'd be a nice gesture. And timely.

I don't think Americans give a rats about what is going on over there. It's just the media trying to sell advertising time and diverting the public's attention away from the scandals going on over here.

Personally I couldn't care less if they name him Icobod, Shaquille or Melvin. I do think Iggy has a certain ring to it though.

A few years back on another forum there was a drive to git me wrote in on the Presidental ballot..

Well, I'd rather have a sister in a whore house than a brother in the White House.
I shiver to think of an "Iggy" wanderin' lost in the halls of that big old Buckinham barn.

Come to think on it, toilets sometimes have a ring to them too don't they???:(

I could give a rats rear end about royalty, people born to so called privilege or especially those that are elitist snobs and feel they are above others.

Like any other newborn I hope this baby is healthy and strong and I wish the parents the best.

Don

If they follow a trend the name will be......George.........

I agree, though John would be the right thing to do; a King who's reputation has been wrongly tarnished by gossip mongers, pseudo-historians, the Robin Hood tales, and Shakespear, deserves to have his name and reputation adjudicated fairly and justly.
