Short magazines?

Addendum: the magazines were loose in a box about five times too big with no buffering packaging. The box was crushed almost flat, but, fortunately, the magazines were undamaged.
Uh oh. If yours was that bad, then coming to Hawaii, mine will be a pancake. Maybe the postman can just slide mine under my front door. Mine is supposed to arrive Monday.

Yeah, I've ordered from them several times and they always come like this. I know it's just magazines, but how bout a tiny tiny bit of packing product?

I actually got my package from G and R yesterday in a small flat rate box. One side of the magazines were protected by foam popcorn packing material... although the other side of the magazines were pushed against the edge of the box. I would have preferred it if the mags were wrapped in some bubble wrap instead.

I guess I can't complain too much though. I must have gotten lucky because the box arrived in perfect condition.

I think your mail carrier and mine are brothers. :D

Here is Africa the same happened. I ordered 25 rounders and they were lose in a huge box and just rattling around.

When I brought it up here I was asked why I wanted to kill the planet with extra packaging.

I may end up on someone's poop list but....ya complain that you cannot get 10 round shorts and then when you do get them the complaint moves to the dents in the box! Throw the offending box away, load the mags and go have some fun...that is what the 15-22 is for. :-) ;)

If we were talking Pmags, I would mostly agree. However, even then I would prefer doing my own damage to a mag... not having it delivered that way. But these 15-22 mags are most certainly not Pmags. They need to be shipped better protected.

I got two Short 10's from Midway yesterday. They were in Ziplock bags inside an 8-1/2"x 11" bubble envelop. Fortunately there was no damage. They must be tougher than they look.

I would like to get at least a box and some newspaper.

It was not a complaint, it was a comment about the packaging.

FWIW, I have NEVER complained about the availability of ANY magazines. So consider yourself pooped on. :D

I got 2-25's packaged in a mailing envelope!
Along with the obligatory zip-loc.

Worked well enough tho and maybe saved a tree, too.

And I believe they are pretty tough.

S&W is using that new 'spage age' plastic now instead of WW11 technology, I heard.

Think of it this way...
If they are shipped in a box, they will be shipped with other boxes of varying size and weight.
If they are shipped in a padded envelope, they get packed with other like packages...letters and other padded envelopes. Much less potential for getting damaged by other priority or padded envelopes or letters.
This comes from a buddy of mine that works in usps shipping.

Got in 2 from Midway,, thanks to this thread. I looked on '' G&R Tactical'' first--- please allow me to assure everyone that after 4-5 years of buying from them,,,, they are GTG. Matter of fact,, I got one of the very first 15-22's from them when they first came out..

I received my order of 10 rounders and it appears they may have read your post. There was a crumpled brown paper on the top of the magazines.
My order was for 4 and exceeded the min $50 order and had $10 handling feeplus the Ohio sales tax. Splitting the order with a friend. Now we both have the shorties.

Or....

I don't see these 12 rounders on plinkertacticals site at all? Am I missing something?

That's because PT doesn't make any 12-rounders. That's a 35-rounder that has been cut down.

I find it interesting the PT continues to show 35-round 15-22 magazines on their web site, even though they have been sued by S&W for patent infringement and have have ceased production.

And the 3 that I have work flawlessly

I am going to see if I can pick up a few more as I think the PT shorties look better than any of the other options. JMO

Even though production has ceased, maybe they still have stock they can sell??? I know my LGS just sold over 100 (just a guess...it was a big box) of them a few weeks ago.

Supposedly PT was not to ship any more at all. I note the ProMag has removed them from their listing entirely.

Got to admit, it is a pretty sharp looking mag!! Go on, say it. :)
