Short magazines?

After seeing this thread last Tuesday, I checked on Midway USA website and they had them in stock. I ordered two and received them this past Saturday. Went to the range and did some shooting!!! Happy Shooter!!!

Isn't it funny that 6 months ago everyone was FREAKING OUT because Big Brother was going to take away all of our high capacity mags - now the 10-rounders seem to be the rage of the forum. :)

Gotta admit, for the size/weight/ergonomics, the small magazines are the way to go. Especially if you do any kind of hunting with these rifles. It just makes no sense to carry 25 rounds at the ready so one can ambush squirrels and rabbits...
Of course the 25+ rounders still rule the day for competition shooting and good ole-fashioned plinking.

Connecticut did, after a fashion. They are illegal to sell in CT, now, and illegal to import. We have to register possession and cannot have more than 10 rounds in them except within the confines of our residence or at a range. Illegal to transport with 25 in them.

I agree with you on all points.

Here's the modified 15 round Promag that I have been using next to the S&W 10 rounder.

What I like most about the PTs is nothing is exposed...no buttons, no springs, and no ammo...but that's just me.
