We were driving home from physical therapy one day and there was a clanging and banging coming from the underside of my truck.
The middle leaf on the drivers side spring pack broke on my '08 Toyota Tacoma 4wd truck and was pushing against the brake line. It's been at the Toyota Service department for the last week and a half.
Since we got the extended warrenty and it was covered I expected them to replace just the one leaf. They replaced everything, the shackles, the entire spring pack, the "u" bolts, plates, bump stops, retainers, washers and nuts.
Don't get me wrong, my wife's baby blue Toyota Yaris is a nice, dinky, little car and gets great mileage and it was nice that we could share it but now that I've got my truck back I can feel my testosterone level rising.

You don't replace one leaf of an old spring. Asking for trouble. Vehicle will set lop sided. Probably had to cut the hangers lose to remove. They did what they had to do. Look at it from front and rear on level pad. It may be a bit lop sided anyway.

Them little Tiyoters is nice. "Tiyoter" is what you call 'em in Rabun County.

Mine's got 305k miles on it. I hope to replace it with another one.

Glad you got your truck back!
