The Most Famous Person You've Met

Probably Lee Jarret!! I also met and got an autograph from John F Kennedy in 1959.

I also met Bill O'Reilly at a private luncheon

Ben Jones, aka "Cooter," from the "Dukes of Hazzard" at a book signing a few years ago. He was very kind and stuck around a while to chat with several people.

Hal Needham after he was a guest speaker at a Pontiac event in 2011.

Clinton

Billy bob Clinton. I've met Joe foot-in-mouth Biden multiple times, my mom was a campaign manager for him at one point. Met Al Bore once too, absolute and utter ***. Biden was nice enough of a guy, but Clinton was very friendly and personable.

That's what Monica Lewinsky said too.

Ray Kelly when he ran Brooklyn PD. He was also a Major in the Marine Corps Reserve. An artillery man to be precise.

When I was in the Army I got to meet Michael P.W. Stone, the Secretary of either Defense or the Army.

When I was a kid I met Dennis Weaver (McLeod) at a rodeo. I imagine he still remembers me because I refused to believe he was who he said he was and pissed him off to no end :D

Kinda long story.

I live and was born and raised in Marietta which is in Cobb county Ga. My mom is retired from Cobb County police dept (26 years). A lady that worked with mt mom named Ada Byrd yep ate a bird... She grew up and was long time friends with Joanne Woodward wife of Paul Newman. They have a home here (Joanne grew up in Marietta). Well Joanne used to come to my moms work and my mom Ada and Joanne would go to lunch ect. Now my moms friends with Joanne and the go do art classes and such together, I've met Paul many time and as famous as he is (Joanne who's an Acadamy Award winner herserlf) are/were the most normal of people. Great thing about Paul is that he was a huge car guy and so am I we would talk for hours about racing cars ect. When he died we lost a good person and friend. Bad part the day he died I spent most of it on planes on a business trip to Connecticut and the day after I saw a flag at half mast and asked the receptionist at the building I was at why and was informed Paul had passes away.

Joe Montana and Marcus Allen when they played for Kansas City.

Larry Holmes, the boxer.

Harlem Globetrotters in the mid 70's.

Partied with the Doobie Brothers on night after a show.

Well, if you are a NASCAR guy I would call them famous.
I met Dale Earnhardt, Rusty Wallace and Dave Marcus in '97 when i was in Charlotte NC for the Coke 600. Rusty's brother Kenny Wallace was in town 2 years back for a modified race at the local dirt track and he is the same on TV as he is in person. Great guy, took time to talk to everyone and sign a bunch of autograph's!!

When I was in the Army I got to meet Michael P.W. Stone, the Secretary of either Defense or the Army.

You must be a youngster, when I see the name Dennis Weaver, I immediately think "Chester" (Gunsmoke) or Gentle Ben. ;)

We have a few Ret'd Rangers in my area as well. I cant recall the gents name but--supposedly he was the Ranger that they modeled Chuck Norris's Lone Wolf McQuade after. This Gent was in his 80s? and could still kick the steel off of a tank.

Met George Bush while working crowd control as a National Guardsman at the State Capitol. It was the younger Bush's inauguration as Governor.

When I was a kid, my brother and I met John Wayne. He had just finished a film called "In Harms Way". A real down to earth nice guy! And...Moe Howard of the Three Stooges about a month later.

Stood in line at Toys R Us in Decatur, Ga one time behind Waylon Jennings Jessie Colter and likely a young Scooter Jennings about 26 years ago.

He was right in front of me and I was too much in awe to say a word.

Waylon was a lot shorter than I had imagined. Still one if my all time favorites.

Went to High School with Arsenio Hall, met Pete Rose in an elevator, met Woody Hayes at a work function, sat next to Boomer Esiason on a flight (he somewhat changed my mind on how big a .... he was!), also sat next to Cliff Robertson on a flight, Bobby Rahal before he was famous, and Doc Severinson in High School band!

Forgot to mention, Mr. Jingeling and Santa!

Would be a toss between Eric Bristow & John Lowe. Not many have heard of 'em this side of the pond but back in the day they were rock stars in the UK.
