Took my wife to the range today and the extractor clip on the bolt assembly came off on her rifle and is gone. Looks like a simple fix but S&W doesn't sell that piece separately so gun needs to be shipped back. Does anybody make that black style C clip in case this ever happens again?? Thanks

There is no clip that holds that in place. The lower part of the extractor foot is what holds the spring and plunger in place. If you pull up on the extractor til the foot clears the edge of the depression it fits in everything will come out. That is how the extractor works on every .22 pistol or rifle I have owned or looked at. The design goes all the way back to JM Browning's Colt Woodsman that almost every .22 is based on.
Clip or foot as you call it who gives a sh*t do you have a place to get spares or not?. This looks similar might work but makes no mention of foot in the desccription

The foot is part of the extractor itself. Extractors are firearm specific parts.
That part from Brownells is the actual extractor for the S&W 22A/22S pistols. While it functions the same as the one in the rifle I am positive the part is dimensionally wrong for the 15-22 rifle. Extractors are made from very hard steel so they don't wear out easily, so they are hard to modify and get that very tiny point edge on the end. The best ones are EDM cut.
The three needed part numbers are on this site somewhere. One suggestion is to get S&W parts department on the line and order them by the part numbers. Second suggestion is to get a local to you gunsmith or gunshop to try and order them for you. Often that may work because sometimes the parts are listed as FFL only parts.

or call back again, get a different operator on the phone, and give them your parts numbers and have them sent. Most inconsistent place I have ever dealt with in my life.
I did it is already there. Just didn't want to loose it for 3 weeks on something I can fix in two minutes. local range is great during the week, but way to busy on weekends. Wife teaches so we try and go anytime she has off during the week.
