McDonalds Mighty Wings

I've had the Mighty Wings...a couple times. Not bad, but they don't compare to OIP's char-grilled wings.

OIP...Original Italian Pizza....several locations around Syracuse and suburbs. Best wings I've ever had. :)

I am staying away from ANY Mac's chicken forever. This weekend the Mac nuggets were tested to see how much chicken they contain..............40%:eek::eek: It was all over Yahoo. The other 60%? VEINS, FAT, BONES, and my favorite CARTILAGE. :(

G-Mac, did you ever have Sal's bird land? When I lived back in NY they were one of my favs.

Bjoe, the Mighty Wings are Bone In. Which means that honest to goodness 100% chicken wing parts. I've had them twice and they are one of Macdonalds better efforts. In fact they are rather tasty even if rather heavily salted.

I've had em' twice. They're solid. Good flavor and texture, I like how they are slightly spicy. Goof for sloppin' down a bunch of beer.

Sal's Bird Land...heck yeah! :)

I used to go to the Sal's Bird Land on South Salina Street in the Valley (south side) section of Syracuse. Lived down there from around 1984-98.

That's a pretty rough neighborhood these days...I don't go down there unless I have to.

I don't know... Do they advertise "chicken wings", or just "wings"? For what its worth, I always notice a lot of crows and sea gulls hanging around the McDonalds near me....

You guys have totally ruined it for me. I'll never be able to eat at McD's again. Their ingredients sound discusting :eek::eek:

What did you think they did with that stuff? You know why no beaks? They grind them off so they don't peck each other to death. But so yummy. Got to turn a profit. The new wings are on the bone so you get to decide what you will eat.:p

I'm not a wing connoisseur nor am I a wing snob, but I don't see myself uttering the words "let's hit Mickey D's for wings". I pretty sure these will never show up on my food radar.

And at a buck a copy I want real sliver ware, a ball game on the big screen, a waitress and the ability to order a tall, cold draught beer (or two).
