Nice! Kyle tested mine too, 9/25/13. I also paid $399. I found it on GunBroker... got 2 7-round spares in AZ, and 2 8's from 44mag.com. Guess you could say I'm "all-in" for my new Shield... :)
 
I will hopefully get to put some rounds down range today. Can't wait to see how this thing shoots.

I received my Shield, found it on Gunbroker, cost was $400.00 plus $20.00 shipping of course you add the FFL charge of $$30.00, so total cost is $450.00. That is still cheaper than what they were earlier in the summer, if you could find one.
Hope to get to the range next week.
Now that Illinois has CCW this will join my carry rotation.
 
I shot the hell out of it today. Ran 250 rounds at my house, then another 450 at my cousins house. Only had one failure, and it's because I intentionally limp wristed the gun. Cousin was impressed with the little gun. He carries a Glock 26, and said he might have to pick up a shield now.
 
Great pistol. Just picked up a 9mm Shield for $409 at the York, PA gun show last week. Have cleaned it and am breaking in the holster. Hoping to get out to the range tomorrow. Congrats on your purchase!!
 
I've ordered a Forest City Tactical Kydex holster for my shield last night as well. Hopefully should see that within two weeks.
 
Lovin mine. Ordered me a desantis intruder holster and a fobus holster. I cant get enough of this little gun. I wanna shoot it all the time. Lol.
 
My 9mm Shield is an O.K. gun, but I prefer my 3953. I have considered buying a Shield in .40 S&W for hiking, as it would be lighter than my S&W 1006.

Last December I was able to fondle my first Shield I saw in person. The gunshop already had the gun sold. The poor ******* that bought it paid $699 for it...
 
Hi All, new here. Bought a used Shield and liked it so much I bought a new one too! Anyway, the new one had trouble going into battery and a couple double feeds, so I had to send it back to S&W. Came back in about 10 days and has worked flawlessly since.

On another track, can anyone recommend night sights for the Shield? Both MeproLight and TruGlo say they'll have some for the Shield soon, but I've been waiting a couple months now.

Went to the range today, fired 200 rounds of 124 TMJ, not one problem, I love this gun, the trigger was great. I also fired 16 rounds of 124 gr JHP, no problem. The gun was very accurate. Can someone recommend a good set of nite sites, that's about the only mod I think I will need.
