Anyone heard this rumor?

Re: OP. Glock 19 w/ any modern good quality 9mm load. Not suit everyone. Never will. But, when the need to shoot someone arises, the 19 do the job w/o problems. If they anticipate needing to shoot through cars, refrigerators, etc., get a rifle.

They should go back or revisit the 10mm.

That'd be great, such an awesome round and is one of my favorites.

I've heard the same rumor too. Also heard TX DPS will switch from 357 (one of my favs) to 9mm.

When I was on the Captiol Christmas Tree trip, I got to meet and speak with some DPS troopers. I spoke to one about the switch and he said it was a rumor, as far as he knew. This was in November. Too bad, I'd love to carry a 226 in 357 Sig.

I agree. Anywhere citizens are prohibited from carrying so should any federal agent or employee be prohibited from carrying.

Also if it is a felony to lie to a federal agent, it should likewise be a felony for any federal agent or politician to lie to a citizen or to the public in general.

Like my old pappy used to say, what is good for the goose is better or worse or something like that…..

If it were a felony for politicians to lie, they'd have to let everyone else out of prison to have enough room.

DHS placed the order, because they have a ton of agencies and personnel. The FBI is in DOJ. Separate and distinct entities and chains of command until one gets to the very top (POTUS).

The "Miami" (it did not happen in Miami, but nearby) shootout is an interesting reference. First, because it is the most significant incident since Newhall in terms of lessons learned about tactics. FBI agents are not cops, so tactics related to vehicle stops and associated violent resistance were not a front burner issue for them. Second, because it was the incident that resulted in modern handgun ballistics research. Third, because those agents had to fight through a crummy tactical situation against serious and arguably better armed opponents - none of the agents had a rifle. It taught us a lot about the nature of fighting against dedicated offenders, a lesson that is vital to LE of all types, and foreign to the cop haters who infest certain forums on the web, one in particular coming to mind. I avoid that one like the plague, and wish that most of its vocal members would put their bandwidth into adult entertainment research and self-gratification so they don't spout so much drivel, and hopefully never breed.

You could provide us with a link to that favorite spot of yours. I mean we could all use a little gratification during this administration. I certainly share your wishes that some types never breed.

While I could name the forum, I prefer not to give them any attention. As for places where one can use the bandwidth to find adult entertainment and self-gratification, I think one should do their own research based on their own preferences, and share as they see fit. I recommend not sharing here, partly because anyone can read this forum, and partly because the Gorilla and his minions might disapprove and take negative action.

Typing the above, in a manner that won't have the management coming after me like the hammer of Thor, is pretty tricky compared to my usual blunt and crass self. Too much like work to do very often.
