I've gotten bullets from hunter and they seem pretty good but their 38/357 bullets are sized .357 and I'm getting better results with .358. I ordered an assortment of bullets from Acme and while they were pretty decent bullets I found about 30 to 35 bullets in each box arrived with no lube in the groove (these are boxes of 100 so that's pretty bad). Midway also carries a couple of other brands but I don't want to end up with a bunch of rejects again. Anyone have any suppliers that have consistently provided them with a good product.

Try Missouri Bullets or Dardas Cast Bullets. Dardas offers several sizes, and Missouri has several choices of hardness. Both came from recommendations from others here.
I have used both sources, (several thousands from them) and never had problems like that. Plus, with these guys, you are buying direct from the manufacturer.

MBC or Missouri Bullet Company. There is MBC and then all the rest;)

Used to get your order in 2-3 DAYS, now due the craziness maybe a week or two.

Falcon Bullet Company. They just started up and have been buried in orders. I've tried 3 companies and I don't buy from anyone else anymore. Good product at a fair price.

Missouri bullets and Dardas are both good sources. I also always had good luck with Magnus bullets. I cast my own now.

There are alot of good sources these days for decent cast lead bullets. But I use Jessie Clark ([email protected]) of Tennessee Valley Bullet Co. as he is a friend and a fellow forumite here.

In the past, Jessie has varied bullet diameter and alloy hardness for me. I bet he will for you too.

Jessie has a couple of off-beat designs that I like that the other houses don't cast.... like this 243 grain, round nosed, flat point .44 slug.

It is the foundation of my go-to-load for my Model 58, .44 Magnum conversion...

I've been happy with bullets from:

SNS Casting link

Missouri Bullet link

Dardas Cast Bullets link

As others have mentioned there are some differences between the three. If you need quantity, all offer discounts for larger quantities. You really do want to try and buy at least a USPS Flat rate box full to minimize the shipping costs.

Many good cast bullet sources cited in this thread's posts.

I'm using cast bullets from Xtreme. High quality bullets, fair pricing, great people to deal with.

I've been ordering all my .452" 200gr 45s from Matt Dardus and getting good bullet performance plus great customer service from Matt.

Matt's bullets in Arkansas. He makes nice Keith bullets.

38 Cal.(38Spl,357) : Matts Bullets
Do these have a square grease groove? Elmer battled with Lyman for changing his originally designed square grease groove to the rounded one for years. For awhile the only manufacturer who made the moulds to Elmer's design was H&G. The current RCBS moulds are close but not exact copies of Elmer's design.

The guy in my basement has been providing me with good bullets for years.

Mitchell in Texas makes very good ones and they will size them to your specs.
I am well pleased with their product.

Lucky 13 bullets is where I get mine. You can get 158gr SWC sized to .358 at $38/500 shipped. My gun club has a promo code with them for a 10% discount on top of these prices. Hardness is 16 Brinnell. Quality is good. I have made several orders with them with no problems, prompt shipping even during these times of extreme demand. They are located in North Carolina.
