Could not believe it either, there is a NICKEL one on there over 1700 with 2 days to go.

Wowzers..... I must have missed in the sellers description the line " you are bidding on a 3 gun package". That's just CRAZY!!!!!

Just imagine how much more he could have gotten for it if he had never taken it out of the box, untouched outside of the factory! Probably another $1000.:)

Well, maybe it includes my favorite (GB) feature; The auto-dynamic, geo-spatial, hydro-dynamic targeting system. You know. Where you grasp the gun normally in your hand, extend your arm toward the target and, voila, the gun is automatically pointing at the target! Yessirree. That's a feature you only find on GB.

It looks like my old one. I shot the heck out of it. Squirrels and rabbits and feral things and a deer. It failed on frog leg getting. Not much left between the eyeballs and toe nails.

I think this may be my old one. The smell of frog legs is alluring, perhaps too alluring, bid on me and I will bring you the stories of frog legs past.

It seems the craziness is with all the older S&Ws. Prices on just about all the older revolvers has taken quite a jump in the last year or so.
Not long ago on the other auction site there was a beautiful K-32 with box. A rare gun and in tip top condition. I expected it to go for $3000+. Even I was surprised when it sold for $4500.
But then, who ever would have believed we'd see plain old Model 10s selling for over $500.

I wonder if they do money laundering on auction sites...

I think a 29-2 from 1979 in its original case with tools would be valued at no more than $1250. I saw that auction a day or two ago and thought someone was bidding much, much more than the package was worth. However, if the buyer is satisfied, that is all that matters. I am sure the seller is more than happy with the result.
