You got that right, hogwylde!

Tell Jim Bronson he couldn't tour on a XLCH... :D

If I remember correctly, Bronson could also pound dents out of a gas tank with a rock!:D:D:D

And, he could ride it off-road. As soon as he left pavement, the bike lost 250 lbs., the suspension grew about 4 inches, and the exhaust note went from potato-potato to rinnggg-ding-ding.

I had a great bike but it and I were totaled before I could even get a picture of it..................

Started on little dirt bikes with the knobby tires, to a 250 and 350 and now time to "Party" with a Big bike..........
Hit the road to Nevada's famous Virginia City !!

Never got back in it.................
Miss the bugs, hot and cold air hitting the dips, even going off the road on the way back from Calif. after a few beer stops and having to get through the sage brush to get "Back on the road again" !! (two up)

Getting on the freeway a little too fast at 2am......... headlight looking at the stars !!

It's all good........gave my three bikes to the kids.

Still have an eye out for the "Other half" when I am on the road..................."Peace brother".

Yeah! And whenever funds were running low he would happen on a hill climb, where guys with three foot extended swing arms couldn't make the hill, but on a stock suspended Sportster, with street tread(and the Sportster, magically transformed, into a Hodaka 100 I believe)would shoot right up the hill!:D

One more; here's my Elite 110 scooter. Brand new in 2010. Hey, chuckle all you want. But the top speed is 49 (used to be 52 until they started putting too much ethanol in the gas). The speed limits in town are all 40mph. They won't normally write you a ticket unless you're 10mph over the limit. SOooooo I've gotten ZERO tickets on this thing...with it WOUND OUT all the time. Trying doing that on an XR250L or 750... Oh, and it'll beat the cars off the line, so it's safe. Though it is awfully quiet...(loud pipes save lives).

This is the airweight J frame of motorcycles.

Bob R, The picture of your Hurricane 1000 brought back some fond memories! I had three of them: two '88's & one '87. Great bikes...super comfortable sport tourer. I had a buddy that had a Katana 1100 & we would go on tri-state crime sprees. We had another friend that had a GSXR 1100 that was a real hot rod. I didn't have a problem staying with either of them top end wise, but the twistys could get kind of interesting. The rubber just wasn't wide enough to stay with that GSXR, & I would get both ends loose trying to stay with him. A matching helmet is all that I have left.
