I must confess... I do use Facebook. Originally I got an account as it was the only way to stay in touch with my then-tween nieces, who were coping with some serious family issues.
My involvement with the local car scene makes it more or less a necessity; most events are primarily organized there anymore. And it has turned out to be useful for finding people I've lost touch with over time.
Facebook's policy change seems to me more like just a way to keep themselves from getting legally embroiled for facilitation of criminal acts, a'la Craigslist. They're not, from what I read, even blocking posts - - just inserting cautions.
I don't really see a problem because frankly, this marvelous S&W forum has much more restrictive policies on posts; it's a private forum & the owner dictates the rules, as their right.
So too is Facebook.
I do, however, flatly refuse to get a Twitter account, as I've no interest in being a 'twit'.
