High-End Airsoft Replica Sights from China

I know some of you will disagree with this simply because they are made in China... however, if you're on a budget... I've done some extensive research on a number of these accessories and they function very well on the 15-22 platform given it's low recoil.

Highly recommended

Replica Trijicon Sighs:

Replica TA31RMR ACOG 4x32 Scope, Dual Illuminated Red Crosshair .223 Ballistic Reticle, 3.25 MOA RMR Sight

(acog fiber rmr | eBay)

--- I've used this model and it has never lost zero... it has an RMR, Killflash and true fiber optic reticle and comes with all markings. Made of Aluminum and is very sturdy and durable. Fiber functions well in daylight and the RMR isn't blindingly bright. It sticks to the Trijicon functionality of the RMR where there is no On/Off switch... it is a very low voltage illuminator and lasts for a good bit of time.

Most variations of the TA31RMR are just a good, they just don't include all the bells and whistles... no fiber optic, no RMR, etc.

Replica 1x38 Sealed Reflex Sight (SRS)

(solar powered reflex | eBay)

Solar/Battery powered, made well from Aluminum with various brightness settings. Solar assists by day in direct sunlight where the battery is used at night when sunlight is scarce.

NOT recommended

Replica EOTech Holographic sights.
The sights are made somewhat well, however, the soldering of the wires inside and some of the components are fragile. Dropping or impacting the unit could easily result in a failure of the electronics.

Replica Aimpoint Red Dot sights.
The replica Aimpoint Red Dot sights that I have tried are nice sights... however, the quick release mounts that they come with are flimsy and will bend easily making them wobble or rattle on the rail. There are ways to fix this... but it's just not worth the effort.

The replica EOTech and Aimpoint Magnifiers though are very well made.

I will also say that the CenterPoint Tactical 1 - 4 x 20 AR Riflescope is a great buy. Not a replica, but overall a nice inexpensive sight.

So, for those of you on a budget for a sight that looks and functions well, I hope this helps.

OK so what you are saying is it is OK to buy cheapo knock-off sights from China that violate the patents of American companies, right? So you don't mind helping to break international laws, right? Do some do-diligence on this and maybe you will decide to stop this kind of activity. I don't mind things that are different because then they have to stand up on their own and not try to claim their cheap clone is "just as good as" a mil-spec part that is made to stand the rigors of real combat not mall ninja antics.

A guy at my LGS who sounded like he knew what he was talking about, said that China actually makes most of the lenses for the big name US optics companies. Even though Leopold, Trijicon and others say "Assembled in the US" some of the parts are made in China so I don't doubt that some of the Chinese made scopes might actually be a good value. I guess the trick is knowing which ones. I will never be able to pay $1500-2000 for a scope, but when I see a Chinese clone of the same item for under a hundred bucks it makes me at least start to think about it.
See my reply on the OPs post. If you are going to support the buying of illegal Chinese imports that violate US patents just say so.
As for scopes don't bet your life on any of them. There are 8 optical glass foundries in the world and China has exactly 1 of them. Most of the good glass comes from Japan, Germany, or Russia. On the otherhand everyday optical glass is sold as a commodity so when someone needs BK7 they will buy it where ever they see the best deals on the market, which could be China. Even Zeiss will buy from China for that. If a scope cost $100 even from China it has cheap optics in it. That means the view will get fuzzy in a variable scope about 2/3 of the way up the zoom range. The cheapest scope you can buy with the very good glass in it is around $1000. One that will provide clarity and sharpness all the way thru the range, because it has a decent build with low dispersion glass in the optics. Even Chinese made FPL-53 costs 40 times what regular glass costs to their customers as I have seen their catalogs. The difference between $1000 scopes and $2500 scopes is in the rest of the parts of the scope. Ruggedness and repeatability in the adjustments can't be done cheaply. A cheap scope won't do a sight-in box on the target without being off. A cheap scope will disintegrate if you tried the military spec and dropped a rifle from 4-5 feet with the scope facing down. A $2500 scope will still work even if some things get bent. That is why Nightforce, US Optics, Zeiss and Leupold scopes can cost $2500 and up. Do you need those for a .22 rifle? No, you don't. But if you have a choice between even a $200 Nikon and $100 Chinese *** take the Nikon as it will work and last for a lot longer. Good scopes can't be made cheap anywhere and cheap scopes can't be made good even in China.

As the title of the thread states... AIRSOFT replicas, I posted this for a cheap solution to a cheap weapon. As for the links... just search eBay for "ACOG FIBER RMR AIRSOFT" and you will see the TA31RMR replicas. The reviewed versions are about $150+ depending on the options.

Just to clarify... I've never said these products would be even closely compared to Mil-Spec optics. No one ever said they would stand up to the rigors of real combat (or even being mounted on a real AR)... I mean, IT'S A 15-22!!! No one is taking a 15-22 into real combat. The weapon itself wouldn't stand up... so why would you put an optic on it that would outlast the weapon?

Anyway, as I said, this was a review and recommendation for possible use on the weapon. The choice to do so is the purchasers. They're not meant for real combat... simply to substitute a $1000+ optic for one that RESEMBLES the real thing, optimally for training purposes... but if it works for you than go for it!

Also why I said buy specific versions... I've compared them to actual Mil-Spec optics and made the recommendation based on their quality, durability to withstand basic function and operation of the 15-22, zero tolerance, etc.

Are there a lot of garbage replicas out there? YES!!! I've seen those as stated above... where wires snap off, non-standard batteries are needed, cheap metal bends, dots are so bright you can't see the target through the optic, never hold zero, adjustments to zero are impossible, etc. etc. etc.

Take from the OP what you will... use what you like, it's your decision. This was just my review of the posted products... my comparison, and my experience with them.

Enjoy!

I use an airsoft holster for My 1911. Airsoft 1911s are replica realistic size so mine fits fine in a $15 tacticool holster attached with mollie straps to my tacticool range bag.

Using a Mepro 21 On my 15-22 and my PWS AR. You can pick them up for under 400 bucks all day, good enough for Isreali military, good enough for me.

In my case my real ARs and bolt guns get the good scopes and optics. But my 15-22s are used for competition so while they don't get mil-spec rugged optics they do get ones that perform well. I have no problem putting a $200 optic on my 15-22s because they have around $800 each in them even without the optic on it.

OP, I assume this is what you are referring to?

ACOG Style in Tan 4x32 Fiber Source Red Illuminated Scope RMR Red Dot | eBay

For that kind of money, I'd rather purchase a Vortex Strikefire, Vortex Sparc, or the Lucid HD7.

All of which can be used on your AR w/o issue.

I see the ACOG name printed on the side.

If that is an unlicensed clone, it would be a good way to lose your money. If Trijicon starts an enforcement action, Customs could grab your product and you can kiss your money goodbye with little recourse.

Just the risk you take when buying clone products with other company's name on them if they haven't been licensed.

Update. Doesn't appear that there are "authorized" versions out there.
