Friends uncle has a 1964 18-2 with I assume in correct combats, It looks to be in exceptional condition 98% to me he wants $700 I offered $600 and he's going to see what his uncle says. Does this sound like a good deal?
If the gun is as good as you describe six bills is a pretty good deal - especially depending on where you are located. It would be a very good deal in my neck of the woods.
It does not have those grips it has non correct combats that are in perfect condition. I know the grips are selling for $200+,i would rather have the original magnas.
Combat grips are not correct for a 1964 Model 18-2 , It would have come with diamond Magnas numbered to the gun or if equipped with a wide TT/TH may have been ordered with diamond targets like the one posted above.
IMO in 98% high condition ,no box or docs I would est $600 without its original grips and $700 with .
Original FG K Combat grips are worth around $100 to $140 depending on their condition and grain and came on 1990 Model 17-6 and 617 era guns.
