Once upon a time in America "we" weren't so thin skinned and understood satire for what it was. I don't believe any of those old shows were mean spirited. What they did was celebrate our diversity.
Yeah, Stacy Keach played Papa Titus, a drunk womanizer with several ex-wives. I have the DVD box set of the first two seasons. I think it only ran 3 seasons. I thought the show was relatable and funny.
Back in the day...when there were only three or four channels, I got hooked on "All My Children" and "General Hospital" for several years. Hated to miss them.
These days, it's Pawn Stars, and "Hardcore Pawn" (Hardcore Pawn is one of the funniest shows you'll ever see.) American Pickers, American Restoration, Wicked Tuna, Deadliest Catch...You get the idea.
I'd watch Soupy Sales with Pookie, Black Tooth and White Fang if it was on....
A few months ago--Walmart had the entire series for $10, I forgot to pick it up and next thing--they deleted it from the store line-up.
I think the one with John Lithgow was: Third Rock From the Sun. I liked that too.
Could probably find it on Ebay.
Yeah Lithgow was in third rock. It was funny. They aged in reverse. I liked the girl in that. She was bouncy![]()
i've gotta say Charmed...Alyssa Milano scantily clad...turn the volume down, make up your own dialog and its an award winner...
I was a big fan of the red headed Rose McGowan...
...till I learned she'd been with Marilyn Manson...
She's probably carrying stuff around none of us can pronounce...
Wasn't there a remake of leave it to Beaver in the late 80s?

I think ive seen that series for sale at WM too? or one of my usual haunts. I know it was released on DvD from the same company that released Alf--which id also like to get.
Just like the Bill Dana Show where he had a character called: Jose Jiminez. It wasnt mean-spirited-but funny as heck.
I think you have that mixed up with a short porno movie that was released on DVD.
