I read a lot of threads. If I see that a thread is many pages long or had a lot of posts, I'll pass it by because I don't want to read all the individual posts.

I think there are others with the same idea, but they just jump to the end and post anyway without having read the posts; including the original post. For example, there was a thread I read about a car accident. In the OP it said there was an accident, one person died and another didn't have a scratch. They posted a pic. There were a bunch of posts following that asked, "Is everyone OK?" What??? The OP told you the condition of everyone involved so, why ask that?

Now, don't get lost on that one comment. I see this all the time. The OP will say the thing is green only to have multiple responses ask, "What color is it?" I just don't get it. Don't they read before posting?

Wha-?

Another great way to "pad" your post count is to welcome any and all new members with the same old form-letter type reply.

I am wondering if mandatory drug testing before posting may be something forthcoming.
Or perhaps starting out with just using spell check.
Now I have a headache from thinking so dang much.

Well . . . some of us do. But, I am usually looking for entertainment. So, reading the entire post is part of the fun.

And, I will admit to being amused by some of the occasional late posts in many threads that seems to have missed the point somewhere.

But, I am old and often misread or overlook details myself. So, it doesn't bother me when someone else demonstrates a similar failing.

It's kind of comforting actually.

Now, if you will excuse me, I went into the kitchen to get something a minute or two ago and have just remembered what it was. :o

I'll read thru 30 or so posts, but usually if a thread is much longer than that, I will skip to the last couple of pages.

If I'm interested in the subject matter, I will read every post. I definitely will not comment in a thread without reading every post, because it bothers me when people obviously only read the original post, hit the reply button, & end up repeating what four or five posts have already said.

Be careful what you rant for and the time of the year! This is a tough crowd. Trust me. If it is cold out and people are home bound, drinking scotch with prescription meds, etc. it gets lively.

I remember when we had to actually type on a keyboard in order to post on these forums. Carpal tunnel syndrome was rampant but we perservereed through misspelling not because we were two lazy to spell checker but because we pressed buttons. It built characcter.

And uphill both ways.

And everybody thought you had a stroke typing it. :)

There's just no telling how long this one will go on . . . . .

I agree, but the weather is getting warmer so people are getting outside and spending less time on the PC.

I'll have to watch this thread for entertainment purposes only. See someone other than me get flamed. Hopefully the OP will top my "Annoyed at Thread Drift" count! I will bow to the MASTER! LMAO!!
