if i could find a comfortable holster that was secure, i would carry that way. (Shield 9 )so for now it is pocket carry for me. My unused holster box will hold no more new rejects.
I've considered cross draw for a while, but could never find a holster I liked for it. After reading your post, I thought, I've got a nice Sticky holster that I can place where ever I want. Since I had to make a run to the store, I tucked it in my pants to the left, adjusted the cant to my liking, and away we went. Very comfortable, didn't move around, didn't fall out, and very accessible. I may be using it in this configuration a lot more.
Very comfortable. I carried my Kimber CDP like that in a Bianchi model 100 for years. The Shield is crazy light and offers excellent accessibility. The draw will not be as fast as carrying strongside but you can draw while seated in car. A big plus IMO.
I'm with Mustangman. I have carried a Detective Special, a 520 and Sig 228s and 229s, but always outside the waistband. I don't see how I could have made one fit comfortably inside.
Carried a 642 for a while cross-draw IWB until I passed it on to my daughter. My carry guns have longer barrels now so I don't carry cross-draw any more.
