Free magazines offer on M&P's

That is about an $80 deal. Too bad I already have my quota of M&P's. What I don't understand is the 8-10 week delay to validate a coupon before shipping.

This looks like most mail-in rebates or offers. It's going to an outfit that does this sort of thing for lots of companies. Their advantage to the company is that the company doesn't have to do anything except mail out the merchandise. If it were a cash rebate, the Co. would have nothing to do. The advantage to the customer is ZERO.

Consider this method v. the way Springfield Armory handled their recent giveaway of a mag, holster and mag holster. Customer applied via their website and had his items in a few days.

Knew I should have waited to buy one.... Oh well.

Should we all buy another one??
I just bought an HK45 in lieu of an FS M&P45 last weekend. Funny, but this free magazine deal might have tipped the scale back in favor of the M&P45 over the HK45... except that the deal is not valid in my crazy anti-2A nanny state.

I'd sure like to know why Massachusetts and Connecticut are the only two states excluded. Up to 10-round post-ban magazines are perfectly legal here for anyone legally able to buy an M&P pistol. It makes no sense.

And it makes even less sense when you consider that M&P pistols are made in Massachusetts with plastic frames made in Connecticut.

This does NOT include the Shield. So dont go buying one and expecting to get free mags with it. All other m&p are good to go.

Seems odd that magazines have been scarce for a year and even when they do come in stock now are sold out pretty quick, how did they decide they have enough spares to give them away.
Unless the gun sales have slumped down so low they need to do something.

I wonder if I buy two M&Ps if I can submit it twice. The guy on the phone said "go for it" but couldn't give a definite answer. I didn't see anything in the rules about submitting one for multiple purchases.

I believe their FAQ does say one rebate per firearm with no mention of limit per household etc.

Two bad on the Shield as I may be picking up both a 9 and a 40 on sale for $299 each this Friday.

Living in CT disqualifies me from this offer. Although back in 2007, I did get the 2 free 17 Rounders for my M&P 9 FS...:D
