Seecamp or Ruger Lcp--because very small, reasonably light and go bang when I squeeze w/o fail. YMMV

Rhetorician Response

If you were going to buy a .380 what would you get and why?

I must jump in here. I would buy another Taurus 738 / 380acp. Size, weight, price, dependability (for me and mine), smooooooooooooth clean-break trigger, last cartridge hold back on the rack. What is not to like!!!

Just my humble but most accurate opinion of course!!! LOL!!! :D

Thoughts? ;)

Colt XSP. Ambi safety, rail for small light or laser, 1911 function which means SA only, sights that can be upgraded, and they're available.

Stay safe, John

I have the Ruger LCP and use it for pocket carry, also own a PPK as well.

SIG P232. Because it is very accurate and slim.

Colt GM .380. Because low recoil and it's a baby 1911 and I'm not carring a C&L pistol in my pocket! :D

The main reason to carry a .380auto is for concealabilty, and nothing hides in your pocket like a Ruger LCP in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster. Just sayin'.

In this order:
  • Colt Government Model .380
  • Beretta Model 85FS
  • CZ 83
  • Sig/Sauer P232

They're all fine pistols. I tried the Walther PPK/S, but the hammer bite is bad. You may also want to consider a Browning BDA .380.

LCP.

Inexpensive
Reliable
Accurate
Easy to carry
Ruger service (if necessary)
