.380

Just my opinion, but anyone who chooses to carry a pocket .380 does so knowing that it's a compromise for ease of concealment. Honestly, all .380 pocket pistols are horrible little guns that are challenging to shoot well and beat up the shooter. Anyone who is recoil sensitive shouldn't buy one. Choosing a pocket .380 is a matter of choosing the one that is the least horrible to you.

Sure. These little pocket autos are not for recreation or bullseye target shooting. And they require a good strong grip for the gun to cycle reliably. What they do well is go everywhere.

As far as the least horrible.... Heavier pocket .380s like the Sig actually shoot fairly well and are not all that punishing. But if I wanted a pocket gun that weighed a pound empty and over an inch wide I already have the best pocket gun ever made in that weight class, a S&W 642. ;)

Priorities and compromises... everyone has their own formula.

I have a Browning BDA380. Double action, 13 round magazine, slide mounted safety. Think of it as a hybrid of a Beretta 84 and a Walther PP. I have had mine since 1986.Two of my friends have one.

LCP w/Ruger 7 round mag, Hogue Handall in a Nemesis. Accurate little bugger and not at all unpleasant to shoot.

Interarms/Walther customized PPK and a Colt Mustang pocket-lite since the 80s........have tried several other types and brands.....but held on to these.....

Like the Beretta's but might as well just carry a 3913 (which I do 90% of the time)

Kahrs...... OK to good ....just never warmed to them...all steel guns are heavy ..... polymer frame never felt good in my hand!

the new light polymer guns......great for pocket carry...... if you can dig one out of a pair or Wrangler's .... you're a better man than me........LOL

So it's the PPK with a tux and the Colt with Dockers.......

lmacrichter, I should add one thing re the Kahr P380. My wife found the slide catch sharp and the slide too stiff to work readily for its size. She had the same comments on the Kahr PM9. I've heard that comment on Kahr's before. There are no universal truths. But if it will be a woman's gun, may want to rent or borrow and try one first if interested in the P380.
