M&P Custom Rear Slide Plates Teaser

I asked this already directly, but I really think you should have 2 more simple plates:

1. Down Zero
2. Shoot Fast Don't Miss

These are phrases identified with IDPA and USPSA/IPSC respectively.

Hey we are super busy but Give us a call at 203-439-7784 T-F 10-4 EST we can take a custom order for you and make those plates with the text if you want them. Best time to call would be in the afternoon.

Thanks

Would one of these void the warranty. Sorry for the stupid question I'm new to stuff like this.

The only way it would void the warranty is if the part (or installation) could be proved to have caused the failure. (neither is likely unless it was installed using a sledge hammer:eek:) You might want to remove it before sending a firearm into S&W, you might not get it back. (especially if it says "Glock - Perfection")

Looks awesome gonna have to order a couple for mine, now to decide on a image or get my initials hmmmm

Is there a benefit besides the "bling factor"??

They say that the metal ones are more durable, but then again they are trying to sell them. I replace my original one at 25K rounds. So the short answer is "No". Although if it pleases the owner it might make him/her a better shooter because of PMA (positive mental attitude)

I got two of the NDZ Performance End Caps (Slide Plates). They arrived today and I have to say, I'm pleasantly impressed. These are high quality, fit perfectly and I like them much better than the stock part.

If you look closely at the stock end cap, you'll see a small piece of metal embedded in the plastic. Apparently, S&W didn't think the plastic was strong enough to hold by itself:

So, I believe the NDZ Performance cap to be superior in that they are all metal.

Here are a couple of pics of mine:

I promised I would give my honest opinion of these. I can honestly say that I see no down side. These will see a lot of use and I will report back on how they hold up.

One recommendation to anyone ordering these, think twice about small details. While these look great, the writing you see around the POW/MIA symbol is really tiny. It's almost impossible to see without magnification. It's there, and legible, just not easy to see in person. So, pick artwork that isn't dependent on small details.

I was going to make an installation video. NDZ beat me to it and theirs is better than what I had. Also, it turns out that I'm much better at still photography. So, here is a little pic to help with the install:

It is really easy as you can see in the video they made. It took me less than 2 minutes to replace both my end caps. Two comments on the installation:
1. Whenever you take the slide off, take out the recoil spring. It's unlikely that it will come out on its own, but if it does it will be with force. Taking it off costs nothing and may save an injury.
2. Nothing will come flying out of the slide once the end cap is removed. The Striker Block holds the rest of the striker components in place. So, as long as you don't depress the striker block, everything will stay put.

Great product NDZ Performance! I think I'll order that ambi charging handle from you.

What body do you use? I'm a canon shooter myself

Hey we are super busy...
This is great to hear. I love it when a quality USA company is busy.

No. It is better than the factory part, but I'd be surprised to see the factory part fail. There's almost no stress on this part.

I have a Nikon, but I'm not a brand loyalist. I've got my eye on a Canon for a second set up.

Wow, I just stumbled upon this product! I'll be ordering one as my first "true" upgrade. :)
You consider this a "true upgrade", as opposed to a simple modification? It doesn't do anything to make the pistol shoot better... It does customize it though to make it look cooler. ;) :)

I consider replacing plastic with metal an upgrade. It obviously won't make the pistol or me shoot better.

I was comparing this "upgrade" to the Pachmayr grip glove I have coming.

So the rear slide plate for 9mm and the .40S&W will fit the M&P Shield 45?

Great Product!

I added one of these to both my 9mm Shield and 9mm Full Size. Really nice quality fit & finish!

Dunno... You need to check their website (or email them).
The Shield 45 is still really new (comparatively speaking).
