I'm curious what percentage of M&P owner's leave their pistol stock as far as the internals, or do modifications?

For purposes of this poll, 'internal modifications' would generally anything internal to the action, whether it be parts or action jobs.

For example:

Apex parts
Striker block polishing
Feed ramp polishing
Stoning or smoothing interior parts
Etc.

Don't include external parts, i.e. Sights, grips, stippling.

I've modified every gun I own. Just like modding.

My current 9mm shield came with a barely acceptable trigger. Just replacing the Sear and springs with the Apex carry kit did wonders. Didn't replace the striker block, as it was not needed, and it looked like too much work.

On the other hand, I once owned a M&P9c that had an excellent trigger. I left it completely stock.

My M&P Pro (2014 build date) is completely stock-no modifications.
My M&P FS (2013 build date) has a polished USB. I used a little flitz and dremel.
My Shield is completely stock

I voted no mods

My Shield 9mm has the Apex Duty/Carry kit in it.. I just traded a Glock30s for a M&P .45c in FDE.. I intend to install the same Duty/Carry kit in it also..

My 9c, my only non-.22, is stock. I feel as a newer shooter i need to continue to gain proficiency with my different handguns as well as keep working on my grip and form before i consider mods to it. Yeah the 9c trigger aint like my Buckmark but that doesnt stop me from enjoying it lol

My .45c was left stock for about three months. I would have been just fine with it being stock but I just couldn't help myself from throwing in a DCAEK kit. No regrets. Just a real pleasure to shoot now.

My M&P40c is a carry gun, & bone stock. The trigger is fine for the gun's intended purpose, so why change anything? I always say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". GARY

I updated the slide lock and S trigger bar in my FS and compact. I also have the PC sear in the compact. All are S&W parts.

I need another option; both. I have one modified M&P and two completely stock. I'll probably mod the other two one day, but they are fine as they are for now.

Mods depend on the individual gun. I'm more a fan of buying a better gun to begin with.

So far the only gun I haven't modified is my Sig P938.

Same here but as I'm a manic modifier I had to get a Hogue aluminum backstrap for it which is nice. It was a little disappointed that I really couldn't justify modding anything else. Was going to get a Wolff hammer spring but once I saw the quality of the OEM spring I let it be. Even the sights are excellent :(

I can answer both. My M&P45 full size has an Apex DCAEK but my M&P9c is stock. I will most likely put an APEX kit in the 9c as well.

Both of my M&P's are stock-M&P 9 & M&P 45. As of yet, I see no reason to change anything on either pistol.

Apex hard sear and removed the thumb safety on my FS M&P 45
