A long search on the web and no one makes high vis sights for the bodygaurd. I have very good eye sight and when looking down black sights and having a black target was having some trouble seeing the sights properly. I didn't like the big dot sight that you can get for the bodygaurd so after seeing what some people have done with nail polish i raided my teenagers room and found some high vis nail polish. Just got it done just waiting for Thursday night to get here so I can get to the range and try it out.

That looks identical to what I did to mine!! It works great too!!...I still plan on getting night sights for it because I love this little pistol.

Ya I wasn't sure what to do with the back one so I figured I would try it this way and if I didn't like it a little nail polish remover will take care of it and reapaint.

This is my EDC so I'm try out the bright paint on them to be able to get on target faster. I've been practicing drawing from the holster and getting on target quickly. That split second that it takes for my eye to find the sights. Hope to be able to cut that split second in half. It may mean life or death some day. I hope not but I would like to but ready if need be.

Just make sure to use NON acetone remover. I like the idea.

Well, OK, but now you have to take your gun to the nail salon every 6 weeks.

Just kidding, of course, it really does make the sights visible. I'm struggling with the same problem. Nearly 70 year old eyes.

I used orange glow on the front sight (really pops) but left the rear sight alone. I usually have to paint the front sight on all my guns, especially as I've gotten older.

Experience has taught me you'll probably never use the sights in a real confrontation, but it's nice to know you can just in case.

What will happen if I use just acetone remover and not NON acetone remover? Will it mess with the finish on the gun?

From what I understand, yes, regular acetone remover will harm the finish. I'm not sure to what extent, but all videos and forum topics I've read, specify NON acetone on the metal.

Thanks ruger up for that tip.
I may end up removing the paint on the back sight and doing just the tips like gts dean did his. Thanks for that pic of yours gts dean I think I like that better than what I did. Still have to hit the range and see how I like it. That's the nice thing about it is you can try a number of different way with the paint and not have a ton of money in sights that you don't like. I do hope at some time somebody make a set of true glow sight for the bg.

You could also try this product. I haven't used it personally, but have read that it works great.

SiteGlo - Glow in the Dark Gun Sight Paint

I checked out there website and it looks like a good product so I emailed them to ask if it can be removed if I didn't like it and they told me that it " CANT BE REMOVED" so I'm unsure about it. I may think about or maybe get some and do some tests on some things in the garage. It only $10 bucks so may order some.

There's a few different brands of this out there. Most can be found on eBay. Good Luck!

Does anyone know how long/well the polish will hold up to Edc compared to paint? That was the only reservation I had with polish.

Went out to the range last night to try out the new sights and all I can say is that I really really like the paint job I did on the sights!!! Did very well with it I think it a keeper!!
