Pics inside your safe taboo?

If I posted a picture of my safe no one would see much, just the bottom of some long guns and some hand guns laying on a couple shelves. Big deal. So why post such a picture?

This is what my safe looks like today. I lost it and its contents in a boating accident. Any pictures you see of guns I claim to be mine are nothing but lies and fabrications to help boost my low self-esteem.

You posted my favorite fishing hole now everyone knows. The GPS is marked on the pic too see it?
Well you need those 3d glasses to see it.

Safe? What safe?
It was a tragic accident but no lives were lost!
Everything went down with the ship in uncharted water!

Post away pictures of the insides of your safes. Im so cheap that my safe is an old refridgerator. :D Nobody would think of looking in an old fridge.

I just don't get the motivation.
People that have just discovered the satisfaction of acquiring multiple firearms, even if it's just 2 or 3, are proud of their collections and want others comments.
I remember being that way about 45 years ago before I became a cynic. We should nurture their their enthusiasm while enlightening them about the people who have dark agendas.

I've been going to various forums for quite some time and while pictures of individual guns are quite common, I have rarely seen pictures of the inside of someone's safe. On the forums, your anonymity is pretty secure and the chances of being robbed or threatened by a forum member seems remote. Is there some unwritten taboo I'm unaware of?

There have been several threads concerning the techniques of safe storage. Here's one: http://smith-wessonforum.com/s-w-revolvers-1961-1980/222442-how-do-you-keep-store-your-s-ws.html

Let's see, some random guy asks us to post pics of the inside of a gun safe and then tells us our anonymity is secure.

Yeah, I was born in the morning, but not this morning.

Pics inside my safe are certainly not taboo, I have pics, jewelery, bullion, and a couple of old squirrel guns.... lots of things can be stored in a safe!:D:D
