The "81s" - fixed sight L-frame pics

Very nice pieces! I like the looks of the fixed sight L Frame and love my adjustable sight L Frames. Very practical and useful guns.

Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful pictures. Can someone please post instructions on how to post pictures? I'm not able to get any into a thread for some reason

Although never nearly as popular as their adjustable sight brethren, I for one am a big fan of the fixed sight L frames. I just acquired this very nice nickel 581 (center) to go along with my 681 (left) and blue 581 (right). I need to find some better shooting stocks for the nickel 581.

Here is my full set, including the customized 3" 681PC, and customized 2.5" 581:

Any other fans out there?

Some additional details on that custom 2.5" 581.......please.

They are neat! I just have a 686-3, and a 586 no dash. In regards to grips, I bought these Herretts cheap. They are well worn, and came off a NYPD Officer's gun. Not much to look at, but feel great! Bob

I have a 581 and a 4" Python. If I HAD to part with one, it would be an impossible choice! The 581 is stock except for a grip adapter, the Python has Eliason target sights. Both are great shooters and have been shot a lot, but when I go to the range, the 581 is usually with me. You'd be surprised how many folks don't know about them, or a Python for that matter.
