This. I have three great mountain roads in my A/O all of which are challenges. One stretch in particular has a long downhill, about 6-7%, with a 180 degree hairpin posted at 20 at the bottom. It's taken a while, but I've gotten better at it. The trick is to downshift into 2nd at the last possible moment. I'm way too busy to really look but I think I'm doing about 45 and close to 2Gs deep in the hairpin. It feels great when you do it right. Thank God the car is VERY forgiving. My wife doesn't scream nearly as much as she used to.
