Just saw pictures of the alleged gunman. They are calling it a hate crime already, someone capable of a crime like this has to be deranged.

Beyond Comprehension

That someone would shoot up a house of worship holding peace-loving people is pure insanity. We may find that the killer, once caught, might have been indoctrinated by hate rhetoric from an early age.

Condolences to the families of the victims.

I am probably the least tin foil conspiracy type bit all these shootings lately have me wondering.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by that. Conspiracy for what purpose?

I shudder at this-whether it is a race thing or a religion thing, the desecration of a place of worship is just horrible. Years back in a very old thread I opined that I would NEVER carry in church-my thought being if someone wants to come in and start shooting then so be it-I won't desecrate my church by carrying a firearm and accept my fate in the house of God. I'm rethinking that......

It makes me wonder whether ISIS or al Qaeda finally did what I expected them to do in Chicago a long time ago. The environment is perfect for it right now.

Governments aren't the only ones who can put on false flag operations...

This is truly disturbing and is nothing more than the diligence of Satan to destroy a person's soul to the point of committing such an act. Prayers sent for comfort to all who this has touched, including all of us.

I feel like some bored people without any direction in life are trying to start a war to give their lives 'meaning'.
Some people do have "interesting" role models...

A senseless, tragic event. My heart goes out to the families and friends of the victims.

Is it desecration of the church or would it be Jehovah's will that he gave you the ability to buy and carry a firearm. If it were not his will there are plenty of ways that could keep you from this ability. Psalm 144 1 comes to my mind first.

In my old church I had written permission to carry from the pastor and did so. I'll be calling my new church office today.

Thoughts and prayers going out to the families and to all.

Personally I don't ask permission and I carry concealed and no one but my wife and family know that I carry in the hall or outside the hall, that's what concealed carry means no see no knowing. When it comes time for the hugging everyone does I make sure I move my hip to the side so they don't fell it and have been doing this for years with no one knowing any difference. As for the law in some areas I don't care and will continue to carry until asked to leave. If they knew I guess they would ask me not to carry which would cause me to go elsewhere or no where. Do you really need a church to praise Jehovah? But I'm sure that if I saved lives those who where saved would be grateful. Others would say it was Jehovah will but I feel it was his will that I would have been there to make a difference. I sit in the back room just past the main doors and have a good advantage in this area to try to stop any despicable act like this. I also feel if I weren't meant to stop this type of act then I would be one of the first taken out.

It was just a matter of time attacks would happen in a church another mostly gun free zone.

Thoughts and prayers going out to the families and to all and hope they don't take him alive.

Maybe I'm not the sharpest wiffle bat in the drawer, but it seems that when you prevent people from defending themselves, people who want to harm others gravitate naturally toward those unarmed victims.

It seems about as hard to figure out as the reason why there are more shark attacks in three feet of water than in three feet of snow...
