How safe do you feel anywhere now?

With all that's been happening lately, do you feel safe without a concealed weapon these days?
In the past, it was the scum bags and robbers. Today?
It's more. At least to me it is. There are people who want to kill us just because we are who we are.
I've never felt the threat before as I do now. You just don't know where or when it will show.
I'm not paranoid, just aware as never before.
Any body else feel the same?

No. Id much rather have my weapon but i dont worry too much. Not sure of where you live, but, i would feel different if i lived in a worse neighborhood

I never felt safe before without my pistol. Nothing has changed, the publicity is just better . . .

I used to live in the ghetto. It was far more interesting there than it is here. Though I suppose wandering elk, bears, cows, what not is a perpetual risk.

However, anywhere in the United States today is positively sedate compared to, for example Kansas and Missouri circa 1860. It also likely rosey compared to NYC even at the dawn of the 20th Century, let alone before.

I don't feel unsafe out and about armed or not. That's no way to live. Situational awareness and avoiding trouble and bad neighborhoods works for me.

Where I live it's pretty safe, I carry because you never know. IF the OP is talking about a terrorist attack we don't have much to target. Just a VA hospital. But I try to be alert to what is going on around me.

Gas stations.....

I hate gas stations. There are always drug dealers and the like around, and I've seen a lot of people looking for trouble and panhandling, in the day as well as night. Other than that, I don't worry too much. I try to stay out of places that are prone to that sort of thing, but nowadays, you never know.

I live in a fairly remote area and feel pretty safe. I open carry on the ranch mostly for four legged critters and poisonous snakes. When I go into the local towns I seldom conceal carry. When I go to the big cities like Dallas or Fort Worth I’m always armed.

I always carry, even in the house and I don't go anywhere where I cannot.

I avoid big cities, large events and anywhere where anything remotely resembling a dirtbag might frequent.
