Sad to say I found a 22 lr round my Walther P22 will not digest.
I have shot many a round of bulk ammo with no issue.
I picked up a 325 pack of Federal .22 LR "Auto Match" ..
What a dud !!It would not cycle and rounds that were still in the chamber that would not fire , had a heavy indention on the primer...
Just a heads up on the ammo...
JUNK !:(

The auto match is one of 2 my Sig 226 .22 conversion will shoot, the other is CCI ,mini's or stingers
Hard to believe the difference in two different guns
I bought all I could get my hands on

Just tested my wife's P22. 5 rnds of the AutoMatch, fifth round hung up on the chamber, pulled the slide back a fraction of an inch and let go, fired then. I have cut about a quarter inch off the spring on this gun, and was firing it suppressed. Frankly one failure in 5 rounds is pretty bad. This is my wife's bedside gun, and it was COVERED in dust. That and it was dry. I cleaned it up and lubed before I gave it back to her.
Still, no failure to launch as in yours with the nicely indented rim.
It pretty much feeds anything else that I run through it. Wifey shoots Stingers almost exclusively. The AutoMatch runs through all my other .22's. Including the 15-22.

I am going to try some of the ammo today in my Ruger MK II and my NAA mini revolver..

A little different Federal ammo, but same issues..Check out this video at 3 minutes in..(video is not mine )..Also at around 6 minutes in..

Day 2 range report..
I tried the Fed Auto match in 3 pistols..
Walther P22,
30 rds of Fed Auto match 1 stovepipe..No issues I had the day prior. I have no clue as to what the difference was..I did try and keep a stiff arm that I may not have done the day before..
30 rds of CCI mini mag, flawless..
30 rds of Remington golden bullets..flawless..
30 rds of Federal Game-Shok..flawlesss..
Ruger MK II..
I fired all the above ammo with no issues..
NAA mini..
Same as above, flawless..

After doing a little you tube researching, the issue I had on day 1, might have been caused by limpwristing on a lower velocity rd than what I normally shoot..That coupled with the hammer drag on the slide during rechambering the next rd..
All in all, I have bought my last box of this stuff..I would not call it junk, as I did, but not my cup of tea..

So far I have not had an issue firing anything in my Walter P-22, Walther PPK/S .22, or my Beretta Model 70s. But now that you said all this I'll be paying closer attention to the Federal GameShok ammo I just acquired and CCI 40 grain "Quiet" ammo I also just obtained, about which I have to write another thread.

To be clear, the game shok ammo ran just fine thru everything, the initial issue was with the Fed Auto match...
CCi mini mags and stingers are my ammo of choice..WOW, they are pricey, so a range ammo is what I was looking for....:)

P-22 front sight

Have you had any problems with your front sight? Mine fell off and when I called the repair center they said look in the box there are 3 extra. The rep said its a common problem so they just pack extras. I used some good epoxy. Hope its not a reoccurring problem.

Re: Fed. Auto Match .22 LR. Have used this ammunition in a variety of .22 LR firearms, both handgun and rifle. To date function and on target results have been excellent. This ammunition has in my S&W 18-3 produced superb scores out to and beyond 50 yds. Have never had a single misfire with this round regardless of the firearm being used. YMMV. Sincerely. bruce.

No issues with the front sight falling off..YET..;)
The front site's vary in height for elevation adjustment..

What litenlarry said, the "extra" front sight posts are to tune your POI. If you replaced the one that fell off with one of the spares, your POI will have shifted. Look closely, they are numbered as I recall.

Yep, numbered as each are different heights..
